Now on to debating if I am more of a modern day small lineup(fenway since I have a lot of righties in my lineup) or if I am more of an old time LARGE stadium(I have a lot of speed and very good defense)...

on to debating, if anyone wants to give me their thoughts I will listen... MY LAST pick is going to be Jeff Bagwell...

I guess we will skip both of 500's picks as Forster didn't play his 1st game until 1971.

I will text Mebert.

Milk, you should pick the Metrodome, home field advantage is crazy good there.

I think i'm gonna go with Fenway or Wrigley

I feel like Id rather have a big stadium if I were you. I assume most teams will be able to hit, you might have a unique advantage with speed and defense. But thats without me taking much of a look at anybody elses team so take that with a grain of salt.

Thanks ehb, actually though I think most teams are going to be olden time stadiums...

Sure but your vote wont count in actually determining a winner.

I disagree, we need the 9th vote so there cant be ties... and to have a total unbiased vote is always fun...

@blstoker For your stadium are you playing the 1901 field? or 1908? It went through some renovations and the field was quite different. in 1901 CF is 530 feet and RF is 280m in 1908 CF is 635 and Right field is 320

1908. Don't forget the 14 foot walls.

ok, if we had played and you had the 1901 I was going to use all of the left handed hitters!

I picked it specifically for 1908. LHB can still make it out of the park down the line, but it's gonna require a bit more than today's lines need. Almost no one will make it out of the gaps - and MLB has never had a ball hit that could go out of center. In all - I expect 2/3 - 3/4 of HRs to be obsolete in the park, but that's just a rough estimate.

is there a reason they pushed back the walls??

Not that I found. It isn't like there was a lot of power there to begin with (16 is the most HRs the home team hit in a season there before 1908). There doesn't seem to be much info as to why it was changed, just that it was.
