You have to draft 6 players who had at least one plate appearance or 1 batter faced in all of the following seasons.

1908, 1938, 1968, 1998

You also will get a wildcard pick to be used whenever you want to pick a stadium, whoever picks their stadium first gets home field advantage. You are asked to vote based on a SEVEN game series.

You will draft the usual position requirements.

Starters: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF, DH
Bench: C, 2 INF, 2OF
Starters: 5 SP (Must have at least 200 starts to qualify as a starting pitcher)
Bullpen: 5 RP (Must have at least 200 appearances as a reliever to qualify)
Stadium: 1 (Does not have to be an existing stadium)

You are allowed to trade players and/or picks.

First: Thank you to Ritz for coming up with a great idea! Great draft buddy...

Second: Congrats to Femur, he decides to join us and kicks our asses! Well done sir...

Third: It's on to the MLB Draft. Ideas???

Divisional Bucket Draft: 4 players from every division.

AL East, West, Central
NL East, West, Central

Have we already done that?

I'm listening...
Divisional buckets sounds outstanding

Here is my idea, and i hope Nos allows it... Bucket with decades

1(1880,1890,2010),
2(1900,1910),
3(1920,1930,1940)
4(1950,1960,1970)
5(1980,1990,2000)

5 picks per bucket

one pick will be stadium(a stadium can only be picked once, but if a team moved into a new stadium then multiple stadiums can be taken for a single team)

for match ups the team that picks their stadium earliest gets "home field advantage" home field advantage is only due to stadium and not about fans coming to games...

I DON'T like 2010 being with 1880 & 1890.
I DO like the stadium element.
I DON'T like there being one bucket with two decades and the rest with three.
I DO like you came up with an idea that doesn't give everyone a headache. lolzzz

How about 5 from
1869 - 1919
1920 - 1939
1940 - 1959
1960 - 1979
1980 - 1999

We go by a players first stat in the bigs, Plate appearance, batter faced.

More to follow...

I'd vote for 2000s over the dead ball era

I just don't like having current players in an all time draft. I'm an asshole I know...

Honestly can't remember the last time we had a draft that featured current players heavily at all

Deadball era really does nothing for me personally just drafting players in reality you have no clue about on teams u don't even know about. To each his own though I'm always good with the majority.

We need the dead ball era if we are going to use the stadium aspect(which would be the first time adding this dimension to our drafts).

also i do think it is important to separate pre 1900 players to post 1900 players... If we don't separate it then people will avoid it...

Easy solution. We do a 1880-1950 mlb draft, then a 1950-2015 mlb, then an 1890-2015 mlb. Then some football:suds:
