Series Thread: 3 with the Jays. Opportunity to clinch the division

With the magic number at 3 (with the Blue Jays the only team that can threaten us), 2 wins over the Jays should clinch the division. Let's get it done boys!

Its Buck's mystery logic, if Buck goes out of turn okay, but I would give the start to Miller. Ubaldo is done. he needs the minors

He is obviously giving our starters an extra days rest with a 10 game lead. I don't think its anything other than that. Might also be a mini-tryout of sorts to determine if he is added to the playoff roster as a bullpen relief pitcher.

Well ... if Buck is insistent on playing that overpaid walk master, the offense will need to put up some major run support. He's guaranteed to walk at least 3-5 batters within 5 innings -- which will probably result in several runs the Jays shouldn't be getting.

Hopefully, he strikes out more than he walks.

no Ubaldo isnt going to regain his form, he needs the minors to do that Buck should be putting pitchers in that can get the wins for the clinch...no playing around

I'm okay about giving Jimenez a spot start since the team is practically a lock for the AL #2 seed. If the plan is to tank a game, though, Buck might as well take the idea to the logical extreme by resting as many starters as possible, letting Jimenez throw 100 pitches regardless of the score, etc.

I too am okay with Ubaldo getting the start. It gives our rotation an extra days rest.

Not watching the game but following on game cast, Ubaldo has thrown 20 pitches but only 10 for strikes and walked a batter. Why is this guy even pitching, just why....
