Thing about Ryan Anderson is what you see is what you get. He's excellent against the run, but he's not fast enough to get much of a pass rush. I expect he'll play about half the defensive stats... and occasional fullback.

he was over drafted at this point . no he isnt hideous but we didnt get what we should have out of him

Agreed - Not a good value pick, but that's not on him, and he's very useful on run downs, imo.

I'm really down on Nicholson and don't particularly want to see him on the team this season. Not only does he have a terrible season, but he disgraced the team and himself with that road rage fight - probably should have been charged with a felony - he's damn lucky. Honestly, I can't root for a guy like that unless he comes up with a real good apology.

In his first year before he got hurt he looked like he some skills but I haven't really seen them again. I don't remember the road rage event. Apke has lights out speed, I would like to see if he can grow. I wouldn't bet the farm on but man it would be awesome to have a 4.2x guy back there.

Safety has been a problem area since Sean Taylor, both spots. At least they have solved half the problem. As for Anderson I loved the pick at the time, just looked to be a good solid player. But the clock is ticking.

Yep, but at this pt he doesn't have to carry a big load on defense. If he can just contribute somewhat he will be of value. He perhaps may not be in their long term plans, but he can certainly help them over the next several years.

I'm not going to list Kerrigan, Payne, and Jonathan Allen or Scherff or Trent whatever.

Ryan Anderson and Doctson have a ton to prove.
Roullier is viewed as a passable starting C for this team, he needs to take a step forward
Settle needs to prove that he can be a 20 snap a game player. People around here view him as solid depth and I'm not ready to say that yet

First off, RK, Payne, Allen, Scherff & TW have nothing to prove. They provide vet leadership and show the way. Roullier was a top 5 center last year and not just considered "passable" according to Pro Focus. Settle unfortunately has 2 first round picks and Ironman in front of him limiting his snaps otherwise, he also could be a starter on this team. So while his snaps are limited, he makes the most of them.
Who cares about Doctson as he is certainly on his way out now. Could see McClaurin and Harmon taking some of his snaps this season for sure. Anderson should not start with Sweat & Kerrigan the starters.

I wanted to put Anderson on there, but at this point I've kinda given up and feel he is what he is. At least Docton has flashed at times. The diving catch he made in Seattle shows me there is something there. The grab he made vs. the Cowboys at FedEx for that long score as well.
