I hear you.

Your 2 Championships are the difference.

I'll tell ya, I loved that Warriors Team with CWebb, Billy Owens, Sprewell.

Damn shame we never got to see what they could do with a healthy Hardaway.
They had Chris Mullin too but Sprewell and Webber were cancers on the team. Sprewell couldn't get along with Carlisimo and Webber with Don Nelson. They were too immature to buy into the team concept. Good players but poor draft picks.

No.
If you rarely suck, chances are you aren't ever building through the draft.
There is no balance, just shifts , and a certain few cities will always be more desirable to top FA.
Kinda my point. Free agency has ruined the game taken the skill out of building and finding talent.

Of course it is. It is that way for everyone. Duke has really let me down over the past 10 years. When I was there we were good because our players played for four years and it was a "team first" concept.

You're the only one here stating your opinion should be taken as gospel.

If you want to go to a game and stay and help clean up, that's fine.
If a person wants to leave 2 minutes early to save fighting an extra hour of traffic or to get his kid home a bit earlier cause it's a school night, that is also fine.

Don't forget the Run TMC teams. They were fun to watch. Tim Hardaway was one of my favorite players.
Yep, they had Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin on that team.

Mullin was a drunk by then.

Webber went ballistic when they traded Owens.

They gave up a shit ton to get him from Orlando and be forced his way to the Bullets.

I've left many times early for one reason or another but I've never tried to scurry back in. That's the part that sickened me.

Are you talking about Webber? Webber actually went to Sacramento and my understanding is he left because he didn't want to play Center; he couldn't score enough because of his size. He wanted to be a forward.

When was there ever not free agency?

Isn't the problem really the luxury tax?

It's funny, I absolutely loved those guys.

But, I associate Richmond MORE with the Kings and Tim with the Heat.

Dude, you are missing a huge chunk of time.

Webber played for Washington.

They traded him to Sacto years later.

Actually, not true. There is skill involved in building a team whether it's through the draft, FA, trades or some combination of the 3. When looking to sign an FA, you have to know if they will fit in with what you already have with both your roister and system.

With trades, you have to be able to not only determine if the guy you are getting will fit, but also whether or not you are helping or hurting your team by making the trade. It's why the saying "sometimes the best trades are the ones you don't make" exists.

I think they quit on their team and then tried to join the bandwagon again after that lucky shot.

Did you ever leave early because you felt the game was over and then one of the most unimaginable scenarios played out that sent the game to OT?

Of course if your just out the door and find out that happened you'd try to go back in.

It just doesn't happen.

I think I remember that. They traded him for a slug named Tom Gugliotta, did they not?

Probably because Miami was where he had his best overall success. But he was with the Warriors for about 7 years, if memory serves. That's when I started liking him. In Miami he started getting endorsements.

He played for the Bullets from 94-98.

I only remember it so clearly because I was Stationed at Fort Meade in MD at the time.

They had wheeled the trophy out.
The yellow tape was up.
We all thought it was over.
That isn't quitting, it's getting the fuck out vs sitting in horrific traffic for most.
