He's 34 and just 2 seasons ago he averaged 12ppg, 4.7apg and 3.6rpg.

Last season he was banged up a little. He can bounce back and would be a good fit for them. Porter may opt to get more money than the W's can offer.

Most 34 year olds who are banged up a little don’t bounce back.

It is more likely that he is even worse next year.

Porter needs to go if only to free up minutes for Kuminga. It's time for them to start growing into their game. And they have to save a few pennies somewhere. Passing on Porter, Payton, and Looney seems pretty foreordained.
Loosing Porter and Payton will suck, but I think they can replace those minutes easy enough. Losing Looney will SUCK. They have been waiting for him to develop for soooo long. Now, when he finally does, almost the very next day they lose him.

It's time to see if Wiseman is going to be the guy. His ceiling is so much higher than Looney can ever be.

I think I get it. If the '90s Rockets were a continual postseason presence like the '90 Braves, then maybe they would deserve to be honored as a dynasty.

Yep. I'd even consider it if they made one more finals and lost to the Bulls. 2 dynasties can exist at the same time.

So how many points are the Mavs getting tomorrow? All you bettors out there, seems like a lock to take Dallas and the points.

True, but you need an insurance policy with Wiseman's history.

Well yeah they'll have some backup big for cheap, it won't be Looney.

Wiseman is at a crucial point right now, pretty similar to Lonzo Ball who has the same injury and is also taking a long time to get healthy.

If a whole year off plus the summer and fall doesn't get his knee right, he's probably another Greg Oden injury bust already. I'm hopeful all that rest will let him play but the jury is still out.

And that is the issue. If Wiseman can't go and you only have cheap backup help it won't be as good as Looney. And that could be fatal in the competitive West.
Keeping my fingers crossed that Wiseman is a go; hate to see careers cut short (or not even really started) due to injury.

They can't afford to bring everyone back. You have to take some gambles and one of those will be betting on Wiseman being able to get healthy.

I understand that. It is just a big gamble since he hasn't shown he can stay healthy. Thought the Warriors run small ball very well, so there could be a lot of Draymond and Kuminga if Wiseman can't go.

We're gonna need Zaza, Bogut, or David West to come out of retirement.

That's how it works. No one can build a winner with every decision being a sure thing.
