I think just getting here was a huge morale booster. But if they can even win one game, it would be great. It was stupid to pretend they were underdogs then and it's still stupid today. It's just typical Philly us against the World BS and a way to set up an excuse beforehand in case they crash and burn because that is what they normally had done up until that point.

They were underdogs against the Vikings and Patriots as well. They've been the underdog in their last 6 playoff games counting this one (4-1 record btw).

I do think sometimes we take the underdog mentality too far in this town for some things (were a major city with a large population base and historical importance, and a large $$$$$ tv market, etc) but that run in 2017 was not one of them. Again, it’s not bullshit. The +3 coupled with the fact they were at home (considering the normal points a home team gets on a spread) and they we’re playing two dome teams having to play in outdoor January weather.

That is a significant underdog no matter how much you want to try and ignore it.
They were severely disrespected by everyone and the underdog role and masks galvanized them and I’d say the only ones that looked stupid were clowns like Mike Lombardi.
