No Lee. No Chappy.

I would rather see Davis at 1B so we can put Flores and Davis on display for other teams AND for us as we decide which of the two we keep.

joining late, phuking work:

T1 - Spider GO, 1b, 3b, K, 1b, SB, 2b, E, 1b, FO -- 0-4 bad guys. Looked to me like he was out of the inning with one run but a third strike was called a ball.

T2 - Spider punches the side. Looked pissed.

B2 - first and third no outs -- K, K, PO Ugh.

T3 - solo bomb by Hoskins 0-5

B3 - Tyro RBI single, Soler RBI single, Junis out, Meckler 2 run single -- 4-5

T4 - Spider gets first batter with a K, then he's out.

B4 - Forto RBI double, Flowers 2 run double, Murphy RBI double, Meckler RBI single, Matos RBI GO -- 10-5 with two out two on, Tyro up.

Spider's line: 3.1 IP 7H 5ER 0BB 6K 1HR...ugly but he didn't walk anyone and as mentioned, he could have only given up 2ER but got umpjacked.

Junis: 2IP 5H 4ER 2BB 3K

Not for nothing, but that Adames kid would look nice in orange and black...

We already have a young shortstop plus our back up star Ahmed in spring training. Plus Fitz and Casey.

You want to give up Lucy for 1 year of Adames?
Adames isn’t worth it. If need be, let Ahmed cover if all of Schmitt, Luciano and Fitzgerald are not ready. However, I think one of those three should start the season on the club and rotate if need be. Why rush up Luciano last year if he wasn’t ready?

good point. I tend to forget about Fitz, who might be really good.

Wade Meckler was 2 for 3 yesterday. He has a legitimate tool in his ability to hit. The strikeout rate he experienced should come down and it seems likely that he is better suited for the corners (and always was IMO)...

His prob is his absolute lack of power. He is a pesky player, but with no power at all, MLB pitchers will have their way with him. Worst case scenario, they give up a single. No biggie.

Love what I am seeing from Matos. Very encouraging. Munguia, while not really a prospect for THIS year, is really putting himself on radars.
