3-5 No Bowling in 2015 for Nebraska

I understand there is nothing these guys can do right but what if there is not enough there to put together a decent roster. And cancer spreads. I don't want to punish some of the players who do actually still give a sh!t, but I honestly would rather the team not go to a bowl at this point - even if they *qualified* for one. If there really is a rift between Bo's disciples and the rest, then staying home for the holidays and not having those infected represent the University is what I'd want. Most of Bo's guys will be gone either this year or next. Then we can think about moral victories and loser teams in bowls, etc.

If we get to a bowl game it means we managed to turn the 2nd half of the season around and we knocked off a top 10 team in doing so.

What they are saying is we only need 5 wins. If we go to a shit bowl it's because we are 5-7. It means we beat S. Alabama, Southern Miss, Minnesota, Purdue and Rutgers. I would rather call it a loss and move on. Fuck this season. THIS IS NOT NEBRASKA FOOTBALL!

Sometimes I'm suspicious that 1620 reads this forum. A few minutes ago they were discussing this very issue.

Apparently Nebraska is #6 in APR and #'s 1-5 (other than Michigan who needs one more win) have already qualified.

Phil Steele apparently expects up to eight (5 win teams) to get bowl bids because there won't be enough 6 win qualifiers. Nebraska being #6 APR would be a lock with 2 more wins.

He had Nebraska slated for the Quick Lane Bowl against Va Tech as of the 20th October.

I assume that has changed since Nebraska's loss to Northwestern.
