It was one game against one of the top ten pitchers in the game.In an internet/video black hole for the last few days..... hate to say it but this games smacks of the bullpen reek and slap hitting double play Giants of years past. One game does on make a season, but damn....
OTOH... Webby did his part. gotta find some offense

He only gave up 4, but point is still made. That is a big hole to fill if Webby's job is to give up 5 ERs...
Fourth run wasn't on him.He only gave up 4, but point is still made.
Webb looked great. And outside of 2 pitches, he had the results to match. But he DID have those two pitches. And no kid gloves allowed at this level.
It is on his ledger, regardless.Fourth run wasn't on him.
One guess who let that one in...

With all the stats that are used these days, none seem to take into account inherited runners scoring on the guy brought into relief. I can remember the year that Cory Gearrin looked so good when runners weren't on when he came in but horrible when he came in with traffic on the bases. Night and day difference. But all his numbers suggested he was good that year. And he kept getting trotted out with runners on. Had there been a stat to track inherited runners scoring on a pitcher, he would have been the worst member of that year's bullpen by that stat.It is on his ledger, regardless.
Or when Greek didn’t allow an inherited runner to score until late July (2016?)With all the stats that are used these days, none seem to take into account inherited runners scoring on the guy brought into relief.
