Yaz now hitting .048 for the spring.

He was supposed to be the more dependable constant in the OF.

I think I heard/read something at the time the trade was made that the Giants really liked him going into the draft and were debating between him and Bishop at #10.
I heard this too, and a comp too Zobrist.

There is still time for him to be a contributor at the ML level.

Well, as of right now, he would have been the better pick. This is a make or break season for Bishop. I have to wonder if the Giants jettison him at the end of the season if he doesn't start producing.

Who do you think gets dfa'd first if they both struggle - Wade or Yastrzemski?
Wade. At least Yaz plays good D.

And while I kvetch about Yaz, he's only had 21 AB's so far - 1 for 21. Slumps happen, and there may be an injury reason.

I'm sure he'll be back to being adequate in no time.

He's a couple of poor months away from getting DFA'd.
I think he has been riding that fence for a while. I would not have been surprised had he been non-tendered this past cycle.

Sad to think they were debating between Bishop and Wilson, while “ignoring” Manoah and Carroll.

He is also marketable. As much as I tease his name, it is a business asset.

I would have to believe the Red Sox would be very interested. Maybe we could coax them into giving up a high prospect or two for him.

While the Giants absolutely would have the right to trade him there, he has made it pretty clear he doesn’t want to follow his grandpappy’s path.

Then they'd love him in Yankee Stadium. Trade him for that #99 guy.

I co-sign on MAYBE 1/4 of those. Too much a stretch on too many of them, imho…

Lord... I realize now that I should have also asked for the reasoning behind them ... which is some cases is obvious...

Why do I have a feeling that you wouldn't use some of these nicknames in real life if you met them?
