They need 2 things, imo.

Giannis needs to develop a reliable 15-20 foot shot.

They need either a 2nd star, or they need to put players around him like the Heat have around Butler. Guys who can take turns stepping up and do it consistently.

The Heat don't really need a true 2nd star (although I'm sure they'd like one) imo, because they know that Bam, Herro, Duncan or someone is going to step up and a lot of times, it'll be more than just 1 of them.

There is no planet that I think Herro and Duncan are better than Khris and a healthy Bledsoe...hell they also have Brook Lopez.

I'm just saying it's not about pieces in my mind they just aren't performing

Because of his experience I'm still taking G Hill over Duncan Robinson right now, too....But Heat have definitely played very well.

Agreed but long term you probably take Bam but short term would you say Khris isn't the third best player of both teams?

I'd say it's pretty close between him and Dragic. Might give a little bit of an edge to Middleton, but not much.

In game 1 when Jimmy had 40. Dragic had 27. Giannis had 18 and Middleton had 28.

In game 2 when Jimmy had 13. Dragic had 23. Giannis had 29 and Middleton had 23.

I think Middleton has 1 more rebound a 2 or 3 more assists for the series.

And I'm not disputing that. But this whole conversation started with Giannis saying "it's not working out" implying the pieces aren't there. They have pieces they just need to perform

It's not like his cast sucks. He's got a lot of savvy vets on the cheap there and a decent mix with Bledsoe, Brook, and Khris.

The only possible advantage with the heat over Milwaukee long term is some younger contracts (which you eventually pay anyway)

Well, and that they have much better players.

Which supporting caste is better?

Bledsoe, Middleton, Bro Lopez, Hill, Divencenzo

or

Butler, Adebayo, Herro, D. Robinson, Dragic

If the pieces are there and they're not performing, then they don't have the pieces...at least not the ones they need.

Cavs were down 2-0 to GS. Blown out in one of the games. Were Kyrie and Love not weapons? Not saying 2 and 3 on Bucks are better than those 2, but it's only 2 games.
