He's been great for Boston....cut him some slack.

The players ultimately lost the series.
I agree, Stevens is a very good young coach.

All of this talk about the reasons of the Celtics failure yet no mention of an option that the Bucks were the better team.

Interesting.

With the 76ers win it will now be roughly a week until the next Bucks game. I wonder how much the week off from Detroit until the Celtics series was a factor not playing for that length of time. I hope it is not a factor at the start of the next series

Seemed to be a one game lag but I still see the Bucks as the hands down better team regardless of opponent

Stevens deserves credit for taking the blame.
No doubt.....but it is comical few fans or media will blame him, like they would if it was Lue, Walton, Casey, etc.

I like him but what's he done that makes you think he's anything special? Team was expected to get to the Finals with Kyrie and Hayward healthy and they regressed and went out a round earlier.

Of course there's talk about the Celtics failure... welcome to the NBA forum. Failure gets way more talk than success.

I don't see anyone denying the C's were outplayed or that Milwaukee was the better team.

I think it has way more to do with us handing the Celtics the Eastern Conference Banner before the Season started.

I know I assumed they were the cream, even after he Kawhi trade.

But, yeah....

We tend to like to dance on graves.

I understand they lost, barely. It took Kyrie and Lebron being at their peak to dethrone them. If you put just about any great player next to Lebron will find a way to win or compete for a championship. Curry or Klay next to Lebron would be a better fit imo. It would be gold.

The Cavs just had a special run, probably the greatest run ever and definitely the greatest comeback in NBA history.

Exactly. Especially the bold. It was a great performance by the Cavs. But there was a lot that had to break their way for them to pull that off.

You had Lebron playing at arguably the highest level he has in his entire career along with Kyrie stepping up and damn near matching him great play/shot for great play/shot. You could make a strong case for co-MVP's with those 2.

There was also Dray's stupidity, Bogut getting hurt and Steph not being 100%.

If just one of those things doesn't happen, the Cavs don't win, imo. But they did and not only got the Cavs a title, but also gave us an all time great finals.

That Kyrie shot has to be top 5 in Finals History.

In no particular order....

Jordan over Russell, Kyrie Game winner, KAJ over the Celtics while with the Bucks, Magic sky hook over the Celtics, Jerry West to sink the Knicks....Knicks won the war though.
