This.

Should've been trying to add a piece rather than eating salary for more picks.

Hopefully they do that now.

That said. What a fun team with loads of future.

Well they moved up to make sure they got their guy

You can argue they should’ve just taken lively

But I liked Wallace and thought Utah was gonna take him at 9

Mainly they should have added a big for rebounds but I guess they are sticking to a timeline. If they don’t address that for next year something is off

Yeah they didn’t need a huge add to see how their core played out

They also kept to their long term plan, moved late firsts for potentially more value 2-4 years from now

They’re in a good spot to maximize their window later, not this year

This is just the start of the window

I'm fine with the moves they've made to date obviously. I just see this upcoming offseason as time to add another piece ideally in a 3 year range to pair with the 2 that will be RFAs then

I see their situation like having a qb on a rookie deal.

Absolutely.

Even just trading for a c like nurkic would make sense

And they wouldn’t need to touch any of the key pieces.

Guy like Wiggins could head that deal in theory

That Gordon Hayward trade was the first move that Presti made that didn't pan out.

Even then, it didn't cost the Thunder anything.

They decluttered the guard position and can let him walk.

I think we are going to see them package some of those picks, maybe along with Giddey , to get a impact player.

That 35 million in cap space gives them a ton of flexibility.

They finished #1 in the West.

I would be kinda disappointed if they continued the trend of eating bad contracts.

Claxton fits their timeline.

But, Capela would probably be easier to acquire, unless they throw a ridiculous bag at Nic, and Brooklyn doesn't want to get into a bidding war.

But the guy I would love to see them snatch?

Isiah Hartenstein.

He's only 26 and does a little bit of everything.

I think Cason will be a dog.

Crazy to remember that the Thunder had Sengun.

I like Lively now.

Can't say I was overly impressed by him in college.

But that was mostly because of injury.

I believe Sam will figure it out.

He's done a masterful job so far.

They never really had him. They picked him for the rockets for 2 future firsts

That was also originally bostons pick

I would go capela just due to contract

Hartstein is gonna likely cost them 4 years and upwards of 80m since that’s what the Knicks can offer

oof.

That's a pretty big bag.

If they pay Hart that much, maybe Robinson shakes lose?

I don't know if I like him for OKC.

His skill set is fine.

They don't need him to score.

It's that injury history that gives me pause.

I would also like a guy like Zubac for them.

Because you know....

Fuck those trash ass Clippers.

Drummond is out there too.

He's older.

Probably fits better than a guy like Valanciunas.

I think Jarrett Allen would be a fit for OKC. Not sure if Cavs will be looking to deal him or not. I think Garland is definitely shopped and Allen is 50/50.

Yup.

Allen would be a great fit if the Cavs were interested in dealing him.

OKC has a sizeable war chest of picks and semi max ( depending on the players years in the league ) cap space.

As for the Cavs, they can't deal Garland until Mitchell puts pen to paper.

But rumor has it, that's the direction things are trending in.

I think they can still make JA and Mobley work. Allen is on a great contract too. I still think the main issue is the two small guards so I hope they don’t trade Allen. If they did, I would rather them not just trade him for role players + picks though

Not sure I'd really go by what we are hearing but no doubt neither is an untouchable. Just my opinion based on how well we play with Allen vs. when he's out, but I'd say Allen a lot less than 50-50 to go.

Garland? No idea.
