Exactly. I think everyone knows that OKC is the more talented team...but so far, the Nuggets experience has them looking like the better team.

The question for OKC is...can they learn enough in "real time" to come back and win the series...or are they going to have to learn by losing now and applying the lessons next year?

I still have OKC winning the series and title but it’s it going to be an easy cruise through the playoffs like 2017 or whatever.
Little adversity never hurt anyone. Playoff teams sucked back then.

Blowouts mean nothing. It’s one game.

If you can’t win the close games, you aren’t going far in the playoffs. Plain and simple.

I remember in the GS-CLE finals one year, every game was a blowout until game 7. OKC looked scared of the moment at the end of that game. Denver wasn’t phased

For sure. You have to win the games.

But from what I have seen through 3 games, OKC has been the better team.

They just have to finish.

They have to get out of their own way. For whatever reason Shai hit the wall in the 4th but Jdub still deferred to him at the end of regulation. Huge mistake the way Jdub was getting anywhere he wanted.

young teams very very win a championship or even get to the Finals unless they are extremely talented. Only a few teams I can remember in recent history that were very young and made a finals- OKC was one of them.

I still think OKC is the favorite in the West but its never easy facing a playoff tested team that has the best player in the series- even if they are pretty decent under-dogs.

Eh…

They have won 2 games.

But OKC has outscored them by 30 points.

This was always the blue print for Denver. They have to win the close ones because OKC is going to blitz them a couple times.

Yeah, they showed a graphic during the game. Counting the first 2 playoff games, they have played 6 times. OKC's 3 wins were by an average of a little over 27 points per game and the Nugs 3 were by an average of a little over 5 points per game. lol

@thunderc loves to brag about okc winning games by double digits but it’s likely hurting them now. They played in a league low 24 clutch games during the regular season and you can see by games 1 and 3 that they look uncomfortable when the game is close in the final minutes

Yep. Closing games in the playoffs is something teams typically have to learn...the Nuggets have that experience.

I think part of it is that SGA is more of a driver than anything else- in the regular season, teams just arent denying the rim or playing with nearly the same intensity. In the playoffs, those drives are almost always get contested and the refs are swallowing the whistles a lot more. SGA is a solid 3 pt shooter but not a prolific 3 pt shooter.....what makes him great- the driving ability- is somewhat mitigated in the playoffs.

I see Mitchell playing- and while he has had to do more by himself because of the ridiculous amt. of injuries- his game of being lethal from outside, even if he isnt as good of a driver than SGA (who is right now) seems to play a little better in the playoffs where everything is contested and the refs have seemed to let a lot of shit go.

I think this hurt the Cavs a little bit too in a way- not so much the endgame- but the fact that guys only were playing 32 minutes a night.......now its the playoffs and we want guys playing 38+ minutes a night of higher intensity basketball- and with the shortened bench because of the injuries its wearing them down. Mitchell has just played insanely intense minutes. I hope he has enough rest for tomorrow.

I think with SGA is that he is just such a good penetrating player- and defenses tighten up and whistles are less in the post season and that can be an adjustment--- i am sure he will get used to it.

Said it in the regular season and @thunderc laughed at me but depth is overrated in the playoffs. Amazing thing to have in the regular season to keep your top guys fresh
