Does Allen know its helpful to jump in order to grab a rebound? If he jumps here, Turner does not get to that ball

Kind of looks like Turner held him down.....but not gonna put the loss on the guy who went for 22 (on 9 shots) and 12 with 3 blocks.

weird what happens to KA when some injuries and close games late.

That game sucked but I can at least appreciate in the Cavs forums I visit seems anyone but KA is getting the blame. Truth be told he deserves some but as usual it's on the players. agree may have used CPJ over Jerome a little more way Ty was playing.

Funny twist last coach used to get ripped for OOB plays, not getting ball in, etc.....and if anyone watches the NBA they'd know this is a thing around the league (Indiana ended Buck season in same way). Missed DG bigtime as the guy can ger separation as he is fast/quick.
Problem with your logic is Bickerstaff's offenses were the issue, nobody blamed him for injuries bc it is out of his control. KA proved even with injuries he could hang with a top team. Unfortunately, his own downfall was playing a guy that had the worst game of his career. So yeah both dealt with injuries but a different situation they are being ripped.

If that makes you happy...you have problems lol. I know you loved Bickerstaff for some odd reason when the team had a clear ceiling with him as head coach. We saw it with a healthy roster or not.

I’m not trying to diminish Indiana.. if they can beat us they’ll have earned it and deserved it. But they havent faced the healthy Cleveland 64 win team yet. If we are full go (Garland, Mobley, Hunter all playing) on Friday and going forward… I would not be “shocked” if we took the next 2 and then were up 3-2 going back to Indiana.

If Indiana isn’t shooting 45-50% from 3.. they are very beatable. We saw it in game 2, the a depleted Cavs had to gag it up to lose it

Certainly true.

I would also add that the Cavs played exceptionally well in game 2 until they seemingly ran out of gas at the very end.

I was amazed at how easily Mitchell got wherever he wanted to go.

Totally agree

You would think SAS would know it's the docs/trainers or even coaches who make these calls. Players usually want to go.

Not sure if true but a few reporters were saying DG was begging to play.

FYI, SAS also a football fan and should know big toe injuries can be really bad and keep guys out weeks.

Ya gotta love when the fake athletes think they know how hurt the real athletes are.

After seeing NBA media come for Joel Embiid for gutting it out in the playoffs at 75/80% and not being Joel Embiid, I don’t blame a player for not playing hurt anymore. To what end? A bunch of no talent ass clowns are gonna attack you and call you names because you’re not yourself.
Fake athletes thinking they know how hurt the real athletes are is comical. SAS should know better.

In the playoffs you need a little luck and we don't seem to be getting any. We are going to need a lot of luck to pull this series off now being down 0-2. I wish our players weren't so injury prone tho tbh.

Indiana is a decent team. They could be in the finals. I am sure the NBA will do everything they can to avoid an Indiana Denver finals tho lol
We need to order whatever Indiana uses to get opponent injury luck in pretty much every series going back to last season. The series they had their own issues? They lost.

See, I don’t think they played exceptional. I think Mitchell was exceptional in drawing contact, but poor in his pull-up heat checks.

I think our interior D was awful, Turner was setting up deep in the paint at ease, he tore us apart.

I think Ty Jerome stinks, and couldn’t play worse between his shot misses, whining, and turnovers. He can only get better.

I didn’t see “exceptional” in game 2 as a team

'My only regret': Cavs coach Kenny Atkinson, players looking for answers after Game 2 loss

So it looks like the 2 minute report came out and the offensive rebound on Nesmith was a clear violation and it wasn't called. Guess what? On the last play of the game there was another lane violation. So Cavs would have ball up 2 pts. Wow
This comment not directed at all at you for mentioning the report.......Yay for us. Maybe we can print the report on a banner and hang it on the rafters. Good thing game not an important one.

I guess to be fair lane violations rarely called.....but still sucks.

Honestly, while I can see Mitchell being a little gassed due to all the drives and hits the guy only played 36 minutes. No one played more than 39. More than used to in reg. season and should hardly be an excuse.

That said, the reason they played more minutes (guys out) a legit excuse.

"hang with a top 10 team" Really? Can make a case without Allen, Wade and then that Mitchell fellow (KA had Mitchell) the Cavs played the Cs as well as anyone last year, including the West champs.

Makes me happy? Because I prefer not to see the Blame the Coach Guys out after every loss? Uh...OK.

Love JB? Biggest compliment I've ever given him is to say he's OK and like many coaches. Give him talent he can win don't and he wont.

But I do hope our streak of improving every season since JB named coach is not coming to an end.

some good comments there....but most teams without 2 all star starters (one DPOY) and a 6th MOY candidate aren't keeping the game close enough for a late game letdown.

If Mitchell could just be OK outside the paint on shots instead of downright awful that would be a big help......as we know he can score at will inside. So can the bigs (or big if no Mobley) so need to take or get them more shots.

This team without Garland and Mobley reminds of Lebron in 2015 when he lost Kyrie and Love in the Finals.. and had to rely on Delly amidst other role players to take on Curry, Thompson, Greenc and Iguadala.

Without those 2 they just don’t have the horses. A great #4 option can’t be vaulted to #2 and succeed.

I thought Mitchell not only was playing a Lebron role as Mr. Everything in the Cavs, but also was being a little dramatic as Lebron can be when getting fouled.that’s just me.

we could really use DG's ball handling and shooting in this series as can then just sit Jerome if he's awful. DG also would have been a huge help on those OOB plays as he can get open.

would love to get Hunter, too, but if we can get DG and Mobley and pull off game 3 (not a crazy notion with those 2) I'd say this series gets really interesting again.
