New York, New York - November 20-21

Semifinals - November 20th:
Texas vs. Iowa, 7 p.m. (ESPN2)
Syracuse vs. California, approx. 9:30 p.m. (ESPN2)

Championship Game - November 21st - approx. 7:30 PM (ESPN2)

Analysis: Should be a great 2K Sports Classic, with three teams who reached the NCAA Tournament a year ago. Texas vs. Iowa is the better of the two semifinals, IMO. Syracuse vs. Cal is really intriguing. I think Cal may be the better team, but travelling all the way across country for in essence a Syracuse home game, is particularly tough sledding. I'll take a Texas vs. Syracuse final, with the Longhorns bringing home the trophy.

Cuse hasn't looked that special yet, but they do look like they can grow into their roles and actually surprise a few people.

'Cuse vs Texas in the finals, 'Cuse will hang til about 5 minutes left in the 2nd and then the Longhorns will pull away unfortunately. Low scoring game for sure, if 'Cuse has one thing going for them, it's the defense and that 2-3 as always.

Texas wins, 66-58

Watching Texas beat down Cal would have been a snooze though Cal won't be a complete pushover. Better games this route and who knows, maybe Iowa or Cal can come up with an upset. Should be 3 good games.

Still picking Texas over Syracuse in the final.

This is by far the most quality tournament IMO. Im super pumped to see how Iowa stracks up with a really really good Texas ream tonight. Should be close. Texas has superior talent but Iowa has more experience and better depth.

I'm afraid Iowa might be in for a really good Texas ream. Lol, just playin!

Ahhh, well, Iowa does have the experience and good size. Not sure if they can match UT's athleticism but Iowa's underrated, imo. Easily the best match of the day.

Maui, legends classic and Battle for Atlantis would all be better tourneys IMO.

Maui is a no, Legends classic MAYBE,, Nova, UM and VCU are all top 25 but I think Cal is probably a shade better than Oregon, Battle 4 Atlantis is definitely better ( forgot that one ), that is a brutal field.

Maui has Arizona, San Diego State, Pitt, Kansas State and BYU who all will be tournament teams I'd guess. Purdue and Mizzou should be NIT teams. Arizona is better than Texas IMO and San Diego State and K State are both better than Iowa and Syracuse IMO. Guess it depends on who you think will be good this year. I'm not as high on Iowa as you are.

Syracuse isn't even that impressive right now. And cal is blah.

I guess Im higher on Cuse than most. I sort of put the 8 team fields apart I guess since there are more teams to choose from but Im not high on KSU/Pitt/BYU at all. I have the B4A as the best ( if you are counting 8 team tourneys ) after that the 2K is better than the Legends I think only because Texas is better than Nova, Iowa and Michigan are a push, VCU is better than Cuse and I think Cal is better than Oregon. But of course all this is just guesswork right now.

That's one more though than just having Texas. K State was better than Iowa a year ago and their best player was a freshman. I can see them in the 8-10 range along with Pitt. Syracuse and Iowa could very well and up in the same spot. Iowa barely got in last year and lost their best player.

Maybe man. I actually think Iowa will be substantially better this year since theyll be able to run the offense better without Marble. I loved the guys guts but the ball bogged down alot with him in the lineup especially late in the year when he was pressing. Either way Im jacked for the game!!
