Nothing to add, I just liked the picture of the Song girls the article started with.

No, but none of those teams have a history of being awesome or anything. Florida had one stretch under Spurrier and one during the Tebow years but nothing special beyond that.

Actually, Clemson and Florida had similar dominant and slow periods going back nearly 70 years.

Compare eras:

2010s

Florida:.....70-44 (.614)
Clemson:.103-22 (.824) - Clemson by a ton

2000s

Florida......100-30 (.769) - Florida by a ton
Clemson.....79-47 (.627)

1990s

Florida......102-22-1 (.820) - Florida by a ton
Clemson.....69-47-0 (.594)

1986-1989

Florida........26-21-0 (.553)
Clemson......38-8-2 (.813) - Clemson by a ton

1980-1985

Florida.........50-17-3 (.736) - Identical
Clemson.......49-17-2 (.735)

1970s

Florida..........58-53-3 (.522) - Identical
Clemson.......56-54-3 (.509)

1960s

Florida..........70-31-4 (.686) - Florida by a ton
Clemson........50-48-2 (.510)

1950s

Florida...........53-42-6 (.554)
Clemson.........64-32-5 (.658) - Clemson by a substantial margin

Florida sent their top players to the service in the mid 1940s...

When air conditioning became affordable and the population began in the late 1950s, Florida's rise was dramatic. From the 1970s through the mid-80s, we were nearly identical. Sanctions crushed us in the late 80s, but we made up for it in the 1990s and 2000s...

From 1950-2018:

Florida:......529-260-17 (.666)
Clemson:...508-275-15 (.645)

Not far off over the past 70 years...

Nice to see Tennessee in the top 10. They're going deep into the history of the program. Hopefully, Tennessee football will regain its competitiveness under current leadership.

And return to their glory days of the late 1800's...
