Super Bowl victory yours for the taking, Marshawn Lynch in the backfield, one yard line and you throw it... Worst play call in the history of the NFL...

That was some vindictive shit... No way they should have passed but for the beef they had all year... That was absolute bullshit... I used to love Pete, but it's my opinion he did that to keep Lynch from being MVP... Lynch should leave, Wilson is a bitch for not saying no I'm not running that play... :L

If Wilson fakes it to Lynch and rolls out with a run-throw-throw it away option, I might see not handing it to Lynch, I believe Wilson walks in. Having him throw that pass, on that route....absurd

I don't hear enough people giving credit to the kid. Yes the call was not good but it was open. Wilson had exactly what he wanted. The kid made an unreal break on that ball.

If it's 4th down, I agree with you, jam it in. In that situation, with a timeout and Lynch in the backfield, if he weren't wide ass open, he should have pulled it down or thrown it away. They lost a game they win in that situation 95-96 times out of 100. If that's not a choke, I don't know what is

Take a look at the angle from side of the end zone. Looks damn close to wide open. Just an unreal play. He said it was all film study.

I saw the 22, and here's what I'd say...In that situation, if you have to fire a bullet from 5 yards away, you are risking the ball deflecting, bouncing off his pads, all kinds of bad things, just a low percentage play. That play shouldn't have been called IMO, period. The ONLY way Wilson should have thrown the football would be off a fake to Lynch, roll out run/pass option with a WIDE open receiver. They took a 95% win situation and threw a bang bang play....doesn't matter to me, they'll have to live with that one forever

The kid did his job... Putting him in position to perform his duty is the problem... This IMO is exactly like Walter Payton not getting the ball to score in the Super Bowl... You can't tell me he thought they weren't going to score, he just felt he could do it without Lynch... His excuse is bullshit... They just called a timeout, he calls 2 plays (both should be runs) and then he can call a timeout for 4th if needed... That was rediculous, and I lost all my vbucks... First he leaves USC because he knew they were going to get hammered for violations and now this... I've lost my last bit of respect for Pete, he's too good a coach to make that mistake if there's not ulterior motives... :noidea:

Also Bellichick gets a big pass for not calling time out. That was also horrible

Exactly... Not only does he pull the dumb shit but the play he called was even dumber... His 4 options were the run option w/ Russell and Lynch, your play, QB sneak, or the best option just give the most physical runner since Bettis the ball... Whichever he calls, there should have been a second play called during the timeout in case they get stopped so they can set right back up... A guy who felt 6seconds was enough time to throw a pass before halftime and felt he could have still gotten 3 out of it, knows how much time they had to get it done...:noidea:

I'm hoping he meant he is out for the night and coming back today to draft and not that he is quiting this draft for good.
