I guess if contract extensions are not in place by the trade deadline next season, some good assets can be fetched for Hubi and Weegar.

Hopefully Treliving hasn't blocked Jarmo's number if it comes to that. Huberdau is a guy that I would give up almost anything.

That's certainly what it sounds like to me. Florida gets 8 years of Matthew Tkachuk at 9.5 million who is just entering his prime so that's pretty good as well. Haven[t seen a trade like this involving top players in quite some time and breaking late on a Friday night as well.

It’ll be interesting if Calgary tries to reach-sign both/either player and compete or trade them for assets later in the season.

I imagine a contender would pay through the nose for Hubs with retention. That could be a top line winger carrying a 3 Mil cap hit

Defense looks stronger with the addition of Weegar, if Hubi is the Johnny Hockey replacement, they still need to replace the scoring and grease that Matthew Tkachuk provides. Kadri brings scoring and grease
