Fare thee well, Baby Giraffe. Always liked him, and he looked to be on track for a 4-5 D role for us 2 years ago. And then we went and got like 6 guys who all passed him on the depth chart. Hope he makes it.

Yeah, the term is the bad thing about the Jarnkrok deal, but it should be pretty easy to move if things don't work out.

Offensively, no doubt Nino is better, but if you want a guy who can play in a variety of situations and positions (center or on the wing), can kill penalties, than Calle is your man.

/Also, Nino can cross the line sometimes and take dumb penalties where Calle is one of the least penalized players in the league.

I agree with all of this but the Leafs have one of the better blue lines in the NHL and could probably find some two-way depth for cheaper than what they gave Calle.

What they don’t have fuck all of is depth scoring and that’s the real reason they lost to TB and most of their other exits. If the big 4 aren’t going nothing happens offensively. At least Nino can score.

Still don’t get this off-season at all. It’s just a rehash of all the others.
