I can understand Flames fans being angry with Johnny, if the reports are true, it sounds like the Flames agreed to the offer put forward by Johnny and his agent and then Johnny's camp waited several hours before reneging on the offer. The part that is very unseemly is going after Johnny's wife and family members on social media, that just paints Flames fans and the city of Calgary in a very bad light.

The worst consequence of the social media era is how it makes people think their shitty fandom opinions are not only valid, but interesting and important. A lot of Jackets fans did the same shit to Panarin. Some even went after Bob, and the Jackets never offered him a contract.
