I’m not sold on Ward or Sanders or any QB from this years draft - I think Ward and Sanders have the potential to be strong NFL QBs but I’m not sold on them the way I was sold on the QBs taken in the first round last year
I like Dart in the right spot. I just think he is likely to get over drafted. I like Dart toward the back end of the first round.

Dart has potential for sure, I’m just not sure where he’ll be drafted at - I’m thinking only Ward/Sanders go in the 1st round at QB but Dart is a possibility to go later in the round.

I’ve heard some people have Dart ahead of Sanders but that could be front office smoke. I have seen Dart linked to the Steelers pick.

Yeah I’ve seen that as well - Dart could definitely go to the Steelers, the Steelers need a new franchise QB but it’s unlikely they’ll be bad enough to get a top 5 pick anytime soon, so they could take Dart and let him sit behind Wilson/Rodgers/whoever their QB is this year and try to develop him into their franchise QB

Hunter is the best WR prospect in this draft easily imo. That says more about him than the other guys. He can line up anywhere too. After watching more film I would play him at WR and situational DB, like big 3rd downs or when you need a stop. He can be an All-Pro WR. Reminds me of a Justin Jefferson type

no question, Hunter is as billed, best WR & CB in this draft. It's funny, I've seen many say he should play full time at corner with 10 to 15 offensive weapon snaps.

Depends on the makeup of the team that drafts him I guess. They could flip that and play him more offensively and be the third corner defensively. Most likely it would be a 3rd WR, starting corner situation though.

I'm surprised at how low Tet is going in a lot of these mocks. He's a Mike Evans/Drake London caliber prospect and 6'5" guys who can move the way he can don't last that long in the draft.

He avoided testing until his pro day a week ago, so it probably depends on when those mocks were posted. There have been pro day skeptics (compared to combine numbers), but 4.48 at his size is plenty fast enough IMO.

It is getting to the point where if he is seen as the consensus WR1 then he is a WR.

I think that is the consensus (WR1), yet most project him at CB and part time WR. This isn't the strongest WR class at the top, maybe that's why? Then again, is CB stronger?

Most? Who? I don't think it matters what type of class it is, he has elite traits you see a WR. Basically has the same grade as MHII and Nabers. He also seems like he would be a nice CB option but I won't call him an elite DB. He isn't better than Will Johnson.

You can never have enough WR's or CB's so I think either way he will play both but I think it would be a mistake for him to play DB more than WR.

If you're going to play him at both positions, it's much more likely to be part time WR and full time CB than vice versa. We've seen that before.

Couple of things here from what I have gathered...As good as he is at WR most think his better position is CB. And I would say it is harder to find great CB's than it is great WR's.

Right now many view his time at WR with the idea that he is an unfinished player. Yes he is athletic. Yes he is a decent route runner. Yes he can catch in traffic if needed, but they view him a little more as a project at WR where CB he comes in day 1 and even as a rookie stands a chance of being a top-5 CB in football.

Then you add in it is easier for him to be full time CB with some offensive plays sprinkled in than to be a full-time WR with some defensive plays sprinkled in.

Maybe but highest paid CB right now is 30 mil and WR is 40 mil.

That said, yeah, hybrid Hunter with an emphasis on CB is certainly in the picture. I'd imagine tapping the WR potential is just more valuable for a lot of teams.

I definitely get the financial side of things. Part of that in my opinion though is WR gets more butts in the seats and more financial coming back to the team compared to a great CB. Throw in one of the most important jobs of a coaching staff is the development of a QB. You have that and more than likely you get to keep your job for a very long time. CB's don't really help in the development of a QB. WR does.

Still like I said easier to learn say a part of the offensive play book and have 10-15 plays a game designed around a player compared to trying to get them to learn 10-15 plays a week for the defensive side of the ball and play full time offense.

Yeah, if he ends up a hybrid player, he'll mostly be a CB. I was looking at Greg Cosell and he saw him in that role so he didn't really rank him as the top WR. There are definitely some people of that mindset so it depends ultimately on the team.

He is more important to an offense than a defense IMO I don't mean 95-5 WR-CB. I think there could be more a 50-50 than we think. 70-30 WR-CB. I think it would a mistake to not use him on both sides but having a guy that can break a play at any moment is crucial, especially to a bad offense (for example the Browns).

I do see him as more of a WR if with the Browns.
