Patriots and 49ers are discussing Aiyuk again. No confirmation anywhere else and of course, no details.

Rumor........................Prepare yourselves...................

According to The Athletic...............................Patriots have been talking to the agent of................................................................................

Stephon Diggs.

31 years old. Tore his ACL in Game 8 of 2024. Has been called a Prima Donna.

Also knows that he will not get anywhere close to what Metcalf or Adams got yesterday.

Not sure whether ""I"" like this or not....................Money??Pain in the ass???Roster Wrecker????#1 WR the Patriots desperately need??? Realizes that his best days may be behind him????? Willing to become a veteran presence that the Patriots need in the Lockker room and WR room???

You think that's what my comment was about? Wow!
I don't think your comment was about Ryan Leaf, but you set an impossible bar for anyone to have a positive comment about a prospect. Gino Pauley shows up at training camp and someone says "nobody thinks much about him" - are you going to reply "nobody thought much about Tom Brady"?

Seems that the entire front office was exhausted from all of the signings yesterday and needed to take the day off today to re-energize.

The pickings out there are very slim.

Word is that the Ram will release Cooper Kupp tomorrow. My question is this. If this coaching staff thinks that Kupp would be a positive influence and a positive target for Drake Maye, why not offer the Rams a 2027 7th Round pick and grab his ass before the Chiefs sign him tomorrow?

And if someone else offers a 2026 7th rounder, then another a 2025 7th rounder, then someone offers a 2029 6th rounder?

According to PatriotsWire (USA Today), The Steelers and the Raiders have interest in getting Joe Milton III.

Supposedly, the price being tossed is a 2025 2nd Round pick.

Well if that's the case sure, why not? We inked Dobbs and can take a QB later in the draft. Assuming the Pats carry three which they typically do.

Or there are plenty of scrub 3rd string back ups left in FA. If someone offers a 2nd jump.

Interesting comments by a couple of sports guys. Bill Barnwell of ESPN and Milt Schmidt of SI.

Girlfriends sometimes have swayed players from taking jobs away from places that they want to be.

Wives have a lot more influence on where their husbands may be playing. Barnwell says that he knows of several wives that have told their spouses that they can sign anywhere that they want and that they will be happy to take half of it and stay where they are. There are women who do not want to uproot their children and move to a strange city and have their children be the new "strange" kids at school. Worse have to move to a new city and deal with cold weather and twenty straight days of snow. Signing a new contract with a new team is not as simple as it may seem. Money is not always the answer for a wife.

I just don’t see any team offering a 2nd round pick for Milton. He could t keep his job at Michigan. He was passed by in the draft 190 times. One good game against 3rd stringers doesn’t justify someone giving up that good of a pick.

I would definitely take it if offered. But I just don’t see it.
