If I'm Vrabel, I'm not trading him for a 2nd right now.Oh please don't enter dumbass mode, or is it to late?
You are the one screaming he's worth a 2nd show me one person that supports you on that.

Look if the Pats can somehow manage a 2nd for a guy they drafted in the 6th and has proven nothing I take that deal.If I'm Vrabel, I'm not trading him for a 2nd right now.

Where a player is picked has zero implication of his ability or value.Look if the Pats can somehow manage a 2nd for a guy they drafted in the 6th and has proven nothing I take that deal.
Agree based on what though? The lack of QBs in this draft? If it's the lack of QBs in this draft or his talent? If it's lack of QBs well then maybe a 3rd or 4th a 2nd seems high to me. But again "F(CK It" If the Pats can pull that off I say go for it.Kiper
Brooks
JJ Daniels
All are saying that NFL teams who draft a QB in the first round this year will be sorry.
I didn't start the 2nd round rumor, I just agree that he's worth that and I don't think it's smart to trade him for anything less. There aren't any QBs with all of his physical and experience positives that can replace him.
We just have to agree to disagree on our value of him.
Rebuilding usually involves some tricky decisions.Agree based on what though? The lack of QBs in this draft? If it's the lack of QBs in this draft or his talent? I guess the question really becomes at what spot do the Pats tell teams to pound sand, and are they content holding onto a guy that most likely will only ever be a back up when they could have gotten draft stock for him
Correct but those guys are all with the team that drafted them and have proven their worth. Huge difference.Where a player is picked has zero implication of his ability or value.
Brady was the 199th pick in the sixth.
Brock Purdy was the 243rd in the seventh.
Ryan Leaf was the 1st in the first.
Etc., etc., etc.
He's long in the tooth but an excellent route runner, I would damn sure be interestedAnybody want Cooper Kupp? Will rams pay some of his salary?
"2/4 In their search for a Cooper Kupp trade partner, the Rams are willing to eat some of the money remaining on the star wide receiver’s contract, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Kupp is set"
He'll be 32 next season.......
I'm with you. If they can get a 2nd, go for it. I think I'd be ok with a high 3rd and a serviceable OL. Anything less, I hold onto him. He's shown he's got potential. Just like the draft, it's a crap shoot. You never know, trade him away and he gets starter time he could end up being a steal. Putting up quality numbers for his career. You just never know. I would hate being a GM and making these choices. The flip side is you never know what that draft pick will turn out like. Lucky to be in this position.Agree based on what though? I am. They need a vet who can at least try and teach the young guys how to win off the line. Kupp and JE as the WR coach would be a nice pairing IMHO.Anybody want Cooper Kupp? Will rams pay some of his salary?

Agreed. He is past his prime but he has not fallen off a cliff. He's long in the tooth but an excellent route runner, I would damn sure be interested
His value is whatever another team is willing to give for him or whatever Vrabel and Wolf are willing to let him go for.Where a player is picked has zero implication of his ability or value.

Kupp's contract is for $20M in 2025 and $19.85 in 2026. Every team but Washington will have to give up a third and swap other picks. Washington can eat his salary. The other teams will need the Rams to eat a piece of it.Agreed. He is past his prime but he has not fallen off a cliff.
As long as we don't throw @BigKen type money at him......
Yup.Kupp is pretty much a JE11 clone without the muscle and body built to take a hit.
Yup.Remember this....Injuries have cut his past two seasons to less than 10 games.

Rumors have him going to one of seven teams:
Pittsburgh
Washington
Buffalo
Cincinnati
Baltimore
Denver.
Rams are hoping to get a third round pick but my guess is that they are praying that team like the Patriots will cough up a 4th rounder. Kupp is pretty much a JE11 clone without the muscle and body built to take a hit. Remember this. Three years ago he was the triple crown winner. (Catches, Rec. Yards, TDs) for WRs. Goff and Stafford both hung him out way too often and he paid for it. Injuries have cut his past two seasons to less than 10 games.
Then there are the Patriots. They can eat the entire salary, give the Rams a 2025 Fifth and Sixth Round pick and a 2026 Fifth. An even dicier possibility is that the Patriots get Kupp and Swap Third Round picks with the LAR, #69 for #90.
Yep and only $5M of Kupp's contract is guaranteed. Everything else is doable incentives. There's @BigKen throwing away money again.
32 and declining, #1 money, shortened seasons, Rams must eat some salary!
