The guy was a joke here and was benched. Why would DQ want him back? JJ from the Pats is an upgrade.

So if a player gets benched, they should find another team? You have never seen a player get benched and then get better?

Samuel and Becton would make me happy. Kupp for 3 mil would be fine. Scherff is fine for cheap. Campbell is fine for real cheap. Scherff anf Campbell will not be cheap enough.

During and after that draft there was a big debate here about Scherff vs Leonard Williams. Scherff has been a really good player, but he is a guard and taking a guard with the 5th pick is a bad pick unless he becomes Steve Hutchison as I argued at the time after he failed quickly at OT. Scherff was never Steve Hutchison. Now Williams on the other hand continues to be the better player at a much more difficult positon to fill and is clearly rated higher than Scherff today.

b/c he wasn't DQ's guy. We had to make a trade for Lattimore b/c BSJ stunk so bad. Why would DQ want this guy to compete when he has showed nothing?

amen to that. I remember those debates with skinsdad. Scherff was a colossal bust with the Jags. He was never Steve Hutchison, and he was never Zack Martin.

And I'm sure Dad will never admit that he was wrong. But the evidence is clear. You don't take a guard with the 5th pick in the draft and Leonard Williams has obviously been the better player and that continues to today.
