Rebuilds don't mean total replacement!!
So, if Kupp is as valuable as you seem to think, a new young QB, ( if... big if...Stafford is moved) then Kupp's savy, veteran experience would be as important to the Rams as it might be to a second year QB here in D.C., correct??

fair point but im thinking Kupp is short term here.

There could be a trade market for him. wont get him at vet minimum
Let me ask you this: when a team publicly announces that a particular player is on the trade market with Kupp's Bio, aren't they telling you that they aren't willing to meet the player's cost because the ROI is out of balance?

Btw: There's always a market for active players until it's clear that they're washed, but generally that market is for more desperate/ poorly run teams looking to upgrade over the shit that they have. Washington is no longer among those teams because of organizational shifts, the top quarterback in the conference, and among the top 5-6 in the league. Upgrades here must be aimed at toppling the better teams in the league and winning championships. You're not going to win conference championships and Super Bowls with fading talent.

you are not valuing talented vets. you could have said the same thing about Wagner, Fowler, and Ertz last year. sty, Kupp will not be playing for the vet minimum this year. He should be ready to help a win now team like us.

If we are win now, he has to be looked at.

Wagner was a one year, 6.5 million dollar signing with no evidence he was slipping. He has been an AP every year since 2014.

Fowler was a one year 3.25 million dollar signing with no sign of slipping. If he plays 50% of the snaps, he gets 10 sacks.

Ertz was a one year signing for 3 million. He is obviously not close to what he once was but he far outplayed the contract he signed. Ertz was brought here to help the development of JD.

All three of our signings were brought here because the organization had a whole new coaching staff, all new schemes, and we kept very few holdovers from the previous crap regime. All three of these signings had experience not just within the schemes but with the coaches who were running them.

Kupp- since his outlier season in 2021, Kupp has played in 9 games in 22 and 12 in each of 23 and 24. Here is a very important one that you need to explain…Kupp only played in 58% of the offensive snaps in the games he played in 2024. This was a Rams team fighting for a playoff spot and a division win but Kupp was not on the field like he has been historically.

From there, his production has been less than 750 yards each of the last two seasons, even though he is targeted 100 times. You need to understand how bad that is. Kupp is almost 32 years old and his best years are far behind him. He will not find the fountain of youth and we do not need him. Don’t expect the one year contracts we had last season.

This is not long term. I think he could contribute for a year or 2
