As of this moment, we have 93 million available in 2025, according to spotrac.

QB- Mariota is scheduled to be a FA. He made 6 mil this season and performed well. I am not one to pay big money for a backup QB. I expect him to be gone but would give up another 6 mil to him, stretch to 8.

RB- Nick Chubb is an interesting name.

WR- I have heard some saying Dyami can be our 2. He has not done enough to warrant that but I am for resigning him at about 2-3 mil per season. With Tee Higgins (25 mil MV according to spotrac) and Chris Godwin (22.5 MV) out there, you don’t go in hoping Dyami can be our 2.

TE- Ertz is a FA. I would consider bringing him back again for about 3 mil.

T- Alaric Jackson and Dan Moore are names I would look at but I have no idea how much each would cost.

G- Mekhi Becton is worth looking at. Aaron Banks will probably get a view.

DL- Josh Sweat is my preference. I have no idea how much.

LB- quite a few interesting options

CB- Noah

S- Jeremy Chinn

Just put my name on it next time. I literally said I need to see more from Dyami.

I do not pay attention to names when I do this, and I thought there was more than just you. I know a lot of people look at the score of 40 and say why do we need more offensive help. I understand that logic even. Hell, I am normally a bargain Hunter too, just look at some of the players I would look at in FA.

I’ve said brown might make a #2. Let’s see what he does this game

Higgins remains my #1 target.
He will not only help us win games, but he will help the defense as they become one dimensional trying to tie the score.
If there is another big body pass catcher available, i hope we pursue. Mark Andrews could be an option too. He could get cut.
DK metcalf may be an option too.
Getting a pass rusher is my #2 goal in FA.
Lots of potential for hitting on 1 or 2 year deal guys again. Its too early to tell what we can do as fantasy GMs in the first, IMO.
We have lots of needs but not so much that they must be addressed this year

I think Fowler has deserved a look for a 2nd contract. Wyle has quietly played better than most of us realize and would be a great depth piece. But I like your list @skinz2winz with the exception of James Connor. They need a back with more breakaway speed.

My hope would be to draft that back you speak of in rounds 2-7. Connor is a nice vet piece who runs hard. We will lose one or both of McNichols and Rodriguez. I had Fowler walking because he will want to get paid and we will have signed Sweat and bring back Armstrong. Baptist and others can be rotation pieces.

I am so torn on resigning MM. Part of me loves what he did for JD but a huge part of me wants that cap space for another player.

Im not sure in James Connor is actually a FA. Spotrac has him under contract for 2025. Would you rather Connor at 6 million or a lower cost Nick Chubb? I honestly think both players are underrated historically.

I can’t stand Keenan Allen, never have.

I am not sure what Harrison Bryant does for us. Ertz had 650 yards and 7 TDs. He was a go to guy for JD and made less than Bryant did. I would much rather see Ertz at that price.

Josh Sweat played this year for 10 mil. I am not really sure he deserves 25 mil/season. Also Dorrance is 6’4” 255 and Sweat is 6’5 265 so I am not sure if Sweat helps our huge weakness against the run.

I am not sure it makes sense to cut Allen and sign BJ Hill.

I don’t think we need corner help. Ward is currently on a deal that was paying him 13.5 mil/ season, so I expect his next contract to be at least 15 mil/season.

I am a huge Chinn fan.

If JD5 misses any time which he will at some point, I feel absolutely comfortable with MM. Must resign.

Connor brings a vet Prescence, hits holes harder than BRob and will come fairly cheap. Chubb is just not the same because of injuries thus he may not command $6m but he is not coming much cheaper than that.

Allen just catches footballs. High IQ player and solid vet.

Sinnott will eat up those Ertz opportunities and his YAC will supersede 650 yards. It's time to get younger at that position.

I'm on the fence about Sweat. We desperately need help rushing the passer.

As for Allen, while he is a fan favorite, his salary doesn't match production. If he restructures on a team friendly deal, then keep him. If not, he carries a salary of over $15m into 2025. Hill would come in around $10m a year with the ability to sign another coveted FA player.

We need another CB. Lattimore (prone to injury) and Sanistril are good, but adding another vet would allow us to rotate and use Mikey at the nickle while moving chess pieces. We need improved CB play for our top 3. If not Ward, someone to replace what we currently have because Noah I cannot cover and BSJ will be gone.

Chinn returns on a nice raise.

@GK, if there was 1 FA you must sign, who is that player?

I get the idea for a good backup but if JD misses significant time, I would rather pack it up for the season. I would rather a rookie backup that shows well and becomes trade bait.

Both Chubb and Connor are around 30. I am not sure either adds anything we don’t already have. A big part of me hopes TreVeyon Henderson in round 3.

Allen was ass last season and came into Bears camp looking like twice the player he used to be. I swear I thought he was transitioning to OL. I also do not want a 33 year old WR coming here.

I do not understand the logic of getting younger at TE but signing a 33 year old WR. I am hoping Sinnott shows out but he has done nothing to suggest he will. If you are going to sign a TE, why not stick with Ertz for 6 million over Bryant for 4?

Is Hill any good? I know the Bengals defense is not p, even though they have the league leader in sacks.

Do teams rotate corners? Our pass defense is solid and with a healthy Lattimore, it looks almost dominant.

Tee Higgins. He provides youth, proven production, and something we do not have in size.

Nice list, thank you allowing us to dissect it.

On offense, i only agree with signing MM.
IMO the other 3 guys offer minimal improvement.

On defense, i personally am not impressed with Sweat and Ward is good but we can groom our own DB in the draft. I agree with your other choices.

I agree with your C/NR
Since you already explained Fowler and Ertz.

Im inspired to make a list as well, thanks

I would love for us to get Trey Hendrickson somehow, some way and extend him.

What I do like is the approach of the FO on 1yr deals thus, not tying up our cap to an extent that we cannot be flexible/active year to year.
