2025 Free agency and draft thread

Even tho we're well into '25, I waited until the completion of the SB to start this thread. Should be an interesting offseason for many teams. Let's have at it.

Right, March 12th to be exact for the official start of free agency. But trades, cuts, extensions can happen any time. And as we all know, mock drafts are already in full swing, even tho what happens first in free agency could have a big impact as to how the draft proceeds. But when has that ever stopped anyone from predicting a mock.

2. Need to get an above average o-line guy in FA
3. Draft OL in the 1st round
4. Draft DL 2nd round
5. Draft QB in 3rd round or WR to replace Lockett

The curious move will be if Seattle trades DK for an extra pick or two
3 and 4 can be changed if all day 1 o-line prospects are off the board

Gist I get about the draft is that its garbage at LT and WR. Really solid at DT, RB, Edge. Decent at Guard, CB, and TE. I see DT and TE and I just think about how the Chiefs got where they are and think thats where I'd look first. LT and WR have to be FA moves which really sucks. To me that also points to the Chiefs drafting an RB in the first 3 rounds.

We will not be able to get a QB where we are selecting.....and I doubt Carroll wants to trade up to get one.

I don't know but I don't want Rodgers and his drama. I have a feeling it could be whatever QB the Steelers don't want. RW or Fields....not sure I would want Darnold as he fell off towards the end of the season and in the playoffs....

Not sure right now. But, I will say RW or Fields as a stopgap.

If we release Minshew (and that is expected) we will have about 99.3 million to go shopping in free agency.

My Falcons need to focus on D, particularly improving the edge rush and corner positions. We should draft an edge rusher in the 1st round as we need a standout guy there, and it’s a deep class for pass rushers I believe. We also need to get better corners, Terrell is good but get Dee Alford and Mike Hughes off the field, they suck. I think we have enough talent to win the NFC South next year if we have a strong offseason, I think Penix will be strong and our O should be very good, but we need to boost the defense. I’ve heard some rumors about us possibly trading Kyle Pitts, will be interesting to see what happens there, Pitts has been our biggest draft mistake of the last few years, he was taken in the top 5 and he just hasn’t produced, he was the #4 receiving option on the team last year.
Anyway I look forward to seeing what happens this offseason

That's the STARTING BID, but if the Raiders offer their EARLY 2nd, you take that and don't look back. That's gotta be the easiest GM decision of all time.

Coming off a down year, attitude issues, now a knee issue (has resurfaced once), looking for a mega contract, wanted to be a team leader but is CLEARLY not (the pouting on the sidelines and flags, really?).

IF Seattle is offered that and Schneider declines it, fire him. I'd be SO done if I was in the office and he turned that down. If the Raiders offered their early 3rd I'd be borderline ready to punch it in (this class is decent/good starter quality in the mid rounds - unlikely to find a star, but good stuff there).

RW isn't going to the Raiders, lol. DK might though, Pete loved him.

As for RW, Geno has a higher chance going to the Raiders than RW.

Id take the early 2nd but DK just turned 27 so I will assume for now Raiders and a few other teams could get involved. That's my hope to get 2 picks out of a team.

If the money is right he'll go to Vegas but most likely Ciara wouldn't allow it so his choices are much more slim.
