Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan. I haven't seen him mocked as high as 12, but he will never be there in round 2 at 44. If you want to control the middle, there's your dude. I will say, there is a late round sleeper...Desmond Watson, Florida. 6'6", 464 pounds, an absolute brick wall. He would only be a 20-25 play a game run stuffer, but if you put him over the Eagles center, that would put an end to that tush push bullshit lol![]()
this guy is thinking exact opposite of me (& he is already starting to sound like Jerry) *looking for the bling*
build from inside out. This isnt pre salary cap era where you have all pros at all 11 spots.
if the middle of your team is sound, that helps every position. Especially those that arent all pros.
Every single defense that is dominate owns the middle!

I think they got to take a big NT in the first two rounds. Most likely round two. They could fix the rotation if they took DT in round one and two. But I believe Jerry goes wideout at 12.I posted the same thing. I don't get it.
Ill tell you...RB is deep, but things may not fall where we get a bell cow. There's a good chance the Raiders take Jeanty. If they do, I think the Raiders may go Hampton at 9. Henderson may be gone by 44. There will RB's there in the 3rd round for sure, but i think we may be at #8 or 9 on the board. They may need to draft a RB in round 3. RB going to be flying off the board. It may be considered a reach but I like Tuten and would gamble on him. The speed would be nice to have. I think he is going be a good. So many good RB in this draft and all the teams know it.
I think Henderson will be gone as well. They got options of trading down. They could trade down a few spots and gain a 4th. Possibly they trade down 5 spots and gain a 3rd. Or trade down 10 spots and gain a 2nd. They likely try doing one of these options due to all the holes .Ill tell you...RB is deep, but things may not fall where we get a bell cow. I don't think a fat boy early is in the plans which doesn't mean you can't hit on rotation contributor. 1 TECH isn't that hard to find in later rounds........IMOOregon DT Caldwell, 6'1 340, quick run stuffing day 1 contributor
Indiana DT C J West, 6'2 325, very quick, attacking one gap.
I think the difference is in round 1 if you hit on your pick you get the potential for a 3 down dynamic player who can clog the middle and get TFLs on run downs and push the pocket and disrupt the passing lines on 3rd downs. Whereas later on you get a guy who mostly just clogs the middle on run downs. The way teams play smaller guys at DT in the nickel nowadays its not as big of a deal to have a 320 pounder on the field for passing downs. Personally I'd be fine with us going either route. I'd love to go DT in the 1st or 2nd round. I'd still be happy to go there in the 3rd round. I'd be less happy if we went there for the first time on day 3 but if we did so and ended up with an old fashioned hard to move 1 tech later on I'd still be happy with it. I still haven't written off the kid from Auburn from last year.I don't think a fat boy early is in the plans which doesn't mean you can't hit on rotation contributor. 1 TECH isn't that hard to find in later rounds........IMO
well...based on this reply to my post, I'd say we disagree again. MAYBE IF we trade back to land another pick in the first 100 selections.I think the difference is in round 1 if you hit on your pick you get the potential for a 3 down dynamic player who can clog the middle and get TFLs on run downs and push the pocket and disrupt the passing lines on 3rd downs. I don't see a starting RB after round 2. There are 4 RB's that I see as starters. I think they are all gone by round 2.I think they got to take a big NT in the first two rounds. If there is an Donald type of DT avaible at 12, you have to pull the trigger. However, I would be torn if Jeanty was there too.I think the difference is in round 1 if you hit on your pick you get the potential for a 3 down dynamic player who can clog the middle and get TFLs on run downs and push the pocket and disrupt the passing lines on 3rd downs. They just paid Osa and signed a pretty decent backup 3T. I would expect them to go NT if they draft a DTIf there is an Donald type of DT avaible at 12, you have to pull the trigger. However, I would be torn if Jeanty was there too.
Is the Iowa kid one of those 4? I like the top 3, and then Kaleb Johnson. Actually Henderson and Johnson about a tossup for me. Then the second Ohio State kid is I guess #5. I think there could be up to another 5 rotation guys including Skattebo, the Oregon, Tenn, UCF backs and a few others. If by starters you mean clear bell cow types sure, but then for me that’s probably just 2 based on today’s NFL. I also like the Rutgers kid as a potential day 3 surprise. if we don’t go RB early we could end up someone like him.I don't see a starting RB after round 2. There are 4 RB's that I see as starters. I want a bell cow starter. Jeanty, Hampton, possibly the Ohio State backs. I don't want another running back by commitee. I would like a two back rotation. But I don't want to go into the season experimenting on trying to find a #1. We absolutely need a strong running game this year.Is the Iowa kid one of those 4? I agree. The most logical thing they do is draft a wideout.I don't see a starting RB after round 2. There are 4 RB's that I see as starters. I think they are all gone by round 2.
I think there are those bottom five and they would be excellent rotation pieces and likely better than the two worn out backs they signed. There may even be more than that.Is the Iowa kid one of those 4? I like the top 3, and then Kaleb Johnson. Actually Henderson and Johnson about a tossup for me.
