i've expressed how i would draft the 1st 3 rounds but i figure JJ will draft a TE, OL and QB because we don't need them

Define "need"...Need to contend for a Super Bowl? I think the sooner we admit we are in a rebuild, the better

Interesting takes from these discussions. The Cowboys have so many holes that we should simply take the best available player in the draft at 12. We could use a tackle or a guard, we could certainly use a DT or a young DE, a linebacker or a safety or running back or receiver. Not a QB because we are tied to Dak.

Also, it is likely true that we will get five starters or rotational players out of this draft but that is only because of the major holes we have on the roster.

And quite frankly if we have starters like Mazi, Luke, Carson or Guyton then we are likely looking at another disappointing season.

We could have a complete team going into the draft if Jerry didn't shop at KMart. We might be looking at more than 3rd place in the East
now this is a much better bet and frankly, I'm bout ready myself. Bonus is we don't need to wait 3 years.

Dallas finishes 3rd or 4th in the East, I leave for the term you said, and if Dallas finishes 1st or 2nd in the division, you take a 6 month vacation.

THIS serves our biggest disagreement much better than the welfare of Will Howard.

Nope, because I can't root against us. Just being real. My Howard offer stands

I’ve always said March is the WORST month on here. Almost unbearable. Thank God it’s April in less than an hour. :thumper:

agree but we know JJ so now we have several positions that have be filled in the draft: a backup QB (because we can't depend on Prescott's health), a workhorse running back and a quality #2 WR just for a start

I totally agree with you on what Jerry will do. And if we are going within the rules that Jerry lays down, then yes, we need a WR2, RB1, NT, CB, DE and RG and should lock on to those positions and hope the best available at a position of need is good enough. I'm only talking about how I think the problem needs to be fixed, leaving Jerry out of it. I think instead of plugging holes on a sinking ship, we should get back to having better drafts than the last two by picking the BPA period, raising the talent of the team, and plugging holes with proven veterans

McMillan is interesting to me if they go receiver. There were a lot of times where I thought the QB threw terrible passes to him. He could be one of those that makes a difference

McMillan would be a great pick. He won a lot of reps against Travis Hunter when they went head to head.

I think a lot of doubters question his speed. I think he is fast enough to do damage. Hell of a red zone threat. He kind of reminds me of Dez,but taller. Just throw the ball up there and he goes and gets it . I'm sure Dak and Cee Dee would welcome him with open arms. You put cee dee and TMac on the outside and Turp in the slot on occasion. Teams would have to respect that.

Absolutely. Playmaker wasn't the fastest. I might take 2 WR's ever over him
