i think Dallas now drafts two RB's
2nd or 3rd round and then 5th or 6th round. Coach Riley should know KState's Giddens and Texas's Blue could be a later round picks. RJ Hardy has game and Tuten ran 4.32 at the combine.

maybe the Toledo DT in round 3
Darius Alexander. He won't be there at 76.
This guy is a top 50 pick. Six year senior could turn some teams off, but reading the scouts about "quick first step, strong bull rush, fires hands extremely well " Daniel Jeremiah wrote last week "Alexander is a day one impact player on all three downs"

I'm not saying Jeremiah's opinion is the end all, but it is a strong ass opinion on a player from a small school.

Would love Giddens or Blue in round five. They have signed two running backs and got them cheap because their better years are behind them . I want a RB in the first 3 rounds and one in round five. Will they do this after they signed Williams and Miles? The logical thing to do is draft either a lineman or RB in round one. The value I see at DT is what looks like a real opportunity to get better on defense. Nolen ,Harmon,Grant are guys that would really help the defense. Grant and Harmon are two bigger guys I got on my damn radar. Walker is another one I would consider in round two or three . I really find myself wanting Harmon on this team for some reason. I just see him being a thorn for offenses to deal with.

this week i think Jeanty is drafted by Raiders or Chicago. Membou and McMillan are gone. One top corner is there at 12 maybe two of the top 3 are there. Barron or Johnson Or...Jihard Campbell...who has become ONE OF MY favorite players in the draft. Campbell would be a huge instant impact player for our defense.

RB would seem to be a must draft at 44 with most likely 2 if not 3 rbs off the board, (Jeanty, Hampton for sure)

BUT...I'd still like to draft RB at pick 76. If this team did, Johnson, Henderson, Judkins, Sampson and Skattebo COULD ALL be gone.
That's seven. Do we really think seven runningbacks will be drafted in the first 75 picks?
I think if we go LB at 12 it would only be for Jalon Walker.
Damien Martinez, Dylan Sampson, Jordan James and Jaydon Blue are all backs i wouldn't be afraid to take in the 3rd

over Campbell?

I'd be pissed
I think Walkers ability to rush the passer gives him the edge in the Cowboys eyes. They have never prioritized LB's enough for me to see them going Campbell at 12. He is a damn good football player though

Let's assume the top 4 guys are off the board although, to be honest, I think there is a chance teams might not be as in love with Sanders as the mock draft "experts" are and wouldn't be surprised to see him drop. But I'll assume they all go early.

So that leaves 8 more guys before we go to have one on the board at 12. The top 15 guys I like for us in no particular order including the top 4.
2 Michigan DTs
2 OL - LSU, Missouri
DE Williams Georgia
RB Jeanty
WR McMillan
Edge Stewart A&M
SC Safety
CB Michigan
OG Booker Ala

I am hoping for one of the above guys because that is kind of my top group, At a minimum 3 of them need to be on the board. But, even after them, we have the Texas OL, UKs TE, The Georgia, Edge Walker Georgia, Ala Campbell or Marshall Edge. Or whomever your personal favorite is. Point being there is going to be a great prospect on the board if we don't try and force it, There are a ton of good players. This idea there are like 12 guys with a first round grade is silly. I see at least 25. Draft the stud not the position because one will be there. There is not one position that we can't clear a path for by 2026. Even at CB or OT we can draft a guy to start now (or wait if not ready) and cut a vet in 2026 for cap savings. Let the scouts make this pick PLEASE!!!!

I look at this list and don't think trade back or maybe just trade back 2 or 3 spots max. I think take a guy at 12 and then trade up from the 2nd round to take another guy. At least a few top end guys will still be there at pick 25ish. Will we love them? I don't know. Our 2nd and 3rd gets us to around pick #26ish. Take two studs. The passive, no balls approach this team has used for player acquisition this year and every year for a couple decades isn't working. Make something happen. What if we add a stud OL or DL and then the Georgia safety is still sitting out there late in the first round? Or we add a DT and the Texas OL is there? We could finally do something to up the top end talent on this team. We have filled out the depth chart in free agency. Now we need to bring in top tier players. We could also use our 5ths to get back into the 4th if someone we love is still sitting out there.

Now what do I think the team will do? I think the team takes Offense at #12. The free agents (including trades) are very defense heavy. Even the dopey Jones Boyz can't believe their BS that injuries were the issue with this team. We were 3-5 in games Dak started. We just aren't good enough. I think if Jeanty or McMillan is on the board they will take them. With the resurgence of RB I think it's less than 50/50 one will be there. But I think they will take one if they are. I also think a team may move in front of us if one is there and look to take them at 11. I also think SF would take McMillan if he is there at 11.

The Jones Boyz have never let the term Dak friendly out of their minds no matter how much money they give him. I think their choice would be:
Jeanty
McMillan
OL - I think the top two OTs are gone so look out for the Alabama OG
Edge - they are always looking edge

I like both as well. I think Walker is more of an edge rusher. I would not be mad if they drafted either at 12. the film shows Campbell can rush the passer.. can you imagine Campbell and Overshown on the field together? Campbell is a stud

Here's an outside the box thought. First off you'd have to accept we aren't winning anything this year which I think everyone knows except maybe Jerry. The reason I say that is because it would mean giving up both our 1st and 2nd rounders which hurts us in filling holes so it would likely hurt us this year even though we are hit and miss in the 2nd round any way.

One guy that would be a huge add for us would be Travis Hunter. I think if we use our first two picks as trade bait, we could get to pick #5 or #6 if he drops to there (I think he goes #3) and possibly to #4 with a little sweetener. I think he is an absolute stud on both sides of the ball. He would give us a true shut down corner and a big upgrade at CB overall (would any team be able to match Hunter, Bland and Diggs at CB?) then going into 2026 we have he and Bland at CB with Elam, Butler or maybe Carson or another pick/free agent at CB. But it also allows us to cut Diggs and use his money to sign someone else unless Diggs plays like 2021 again in which case we have 3 stud corners. Plus he acts as a WR on obvious passing downs. Maybe 20 plays per game on offense? Pipe dream of course but unlike trading up for someone else, we would kind of get two draft picks out of him anyway with the two we give up because he can play offense and defense and you aren't getting a WR as good as him in the 2nd round but you will get more snaps out of a second round WR because he can't play both FT.

My thinking on this draft has not really changed much lately my top targets are Jeanty and Membou. I see defensive tackle as maybe more of a weakness than some. We are basically headed into this draft with the same guys who can't stop the run.

If Jeanty and Membou are gone my focus in round one is on two defensive tackles. Walter Nolen and Derrick Harmon are very interesting to me in round one. They are more 3tech,but I do see position flex with both. And then if Tyliek Williams is there in round two I would do it . I think I am higher on Harmon and Nolen than most. I like Williams motor and effort

it appears as of today our picks are:
1st round pick 12 overall
2nd round pick 44 overall
3rd round pick 76 overall
4th round no picks
5th round picks 149, 170 and 174 overall
6th round picks 204 and 211 overall
7th round picks 239 and 247 overall
257 Total Draft picks

it has been said this draft is rich with talent. Many 5th year guys who can step in year one if there is a scheme match from the college program to pro team. Still need a trade down partner. Seattle might have interest for 12. Seahawks also have 10 draft picks, but their 10 picks include two 2nd and two 3rd round, 4th and two 5 and 7 round picks

I would trade down if at all possible. In your scenario, if I traded up, I would actually take Graham or Carter. Would love to see either one

If Jeanty and Membou are both gone, I would go Simmons from OSU. If all three were gone, I'm taking my damn TE

a couple pretty darn good early day 3 DT's graded down for not having ideal height. Both Big 10 nose guards.

CJ West / Indiana 6'2 320 has a plus burst and strong against double teams.
or
Jamaree Caldwell / Oregon 6'2 325. also quick off the snap with good size who also does well against double teams.

I think Carter goes #1 or #2 so i think it will take a lot more than that to get him. I think he and Hunter are hands down the two best players in this draft. I think because he is a QB Ward may go 1 or 2 but I don’t think he is as good as those two and I don’t think Sanders is even close. Yeah Sanders may go as high as #2 or 3 because he is a QB, but I have a feeling he is going to drop a lot further than everyone thinks.

Who knows what's true, but from what I heard, Sanders bombed some of his interviews and came off arrogant and entitled. I could see him on the board when Dallas comes up and I can only hope Jerry doesn't have another Johnny Football moment

They seem to make it pretty obvious what position they will target in the draft every year if you just listen to what they say and do because they just can't keep their mouths shut. Luckily Jerry has been away from a microphone more than usual so far, but we still have the "what they do" part. We came into this offseason with a crap ton of holes. While they didn't spend big dollars on anyone they signed guys who were starters or expected to be starters or first line backups here at most of those positions so they at least addressed them. The only ones they completely seemed to ignore are WR (I'm not sure Campbell even makes the team) and NT (I'm not sure they understand this as a need).

So, I have a feeling they go WR no matter who is left on the board at that position. Because of this I am hoping McMillan is there even though I doubt he will be because there really isn't another receiver I think is even a top 20 player. I'm not even sure who I think the #2 WR even is. Caveat to this is if Jeanty is on the board I still think Jerry will take him because of all the criticism he received for screwing up RB this past offseason and go WR round 2, but since I think he is gone and I don't see them going any other RB I think it ends up WR. If it's McMillan I'm doing cartwheels. If it's anyone else, I'm not happy.

my focus in the 1st and 2nd rounds are RB and WR (Egbuka and Henderson) with the 3rd round QB (probably Tyler Shough) but I'm strange in that I think we have to fill the most obvious needs 1st
