Same it is the walking to Betts that set me off because now a great hitter like freeman only needed a single to win it when Betts would have needed an extra base hit. Much less pressure if you don’t want walk him. Knowing any hit loses the game against freeman is a ridiculous amount of pressure
To be fair, he had to choose between 2 former MVPs to pitch to, so he chose the one playing on a bum ankle and that gave him a lefty vs lefty matchup.
But you make a good point about creating a situation where a hit would win the game instead of just tying it.
