Tigers on the verge of knocking out my main team this year, the Guardians. I'll be a little sad if it happens, but the Tigers are hard to root against.

Was hoping KC would go up 2-1 in their series against the yanks, but nope, yanks just too strong.

REALLY would love to see the Pads knock out the Doyers in game 5.

I’m mildly annoyed that the Yankees are in the LCS. If it’s not the Astros, it’s the damn Yankees. Yuck! I hope the Guardians beat the crap out of them.

On the NLCS side, I like Ohtani, but not a fan of the Dodgers so go Mets!

In the end, WS is something I won’t be interested in. Will either be a subway series, Mets/Guardians, Yankees/Dodgers, Guardians/Dodgers.

I hate all of these combinations as it just involves a team from the insufferable NY City or Dodgers, but if i had to pick, I would prefer Mets/Guardians. At least the Mets are more tolerable than the Yankees.

The Dodgers have much higher revenue than the M's, obviously, but they invest 60% back in the team. The Mets have generate about the same revenue as the M's, but they invest 80% back in the team. That's 100% of the reason that they were both significantly less profitable than the M's. It's because they prioritize winning.

To put things in perspective, the Dodgers made $549 Million in Revenue. They put 60% of it back in their team (top 5 in MLB), and ended up with $69 million in profit for 2024.

The M's made $396 Million in Revenue. They put only 40% back into the team (bottom 25% of MLB), and ended up with $86 million in profit.

If owners can make $17 million more in profit than the Dodgers and a LOT more than that compared to the Mets, then why would they change anything?

Manfred is about to get hiswet dream World Series: Yanks vs Dodgers. I hate both teams. I hope the TV viewership is way, way, way below expectations. The Indians are the last team left with a non-gluttonous payroll. If/when they get eliminated, the 2024 MLB season will officially be dead to me.
