I think if Hurts and Herbert switched teams, Herbert would look like the better QB. Its hard to knock Hurts for being so good on the Eagles, though.
We’ll never know, the Eagles stellar O-Line and dangerous offensive weapons definitely help Hurts, but the fact remains that Herbert has never won a playoff game while Hurts has been to 2 Super Bowls and won 1. That isn’t all about the teams they are on. It’s hard for me to rank Herbert, because while he’s put up very strong numbers he struggles to win big games and has never won in the playoffs.
And like I’ve said before, Hurts had an MVP caliber season and led the Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance in 2022 with the mediocre Miles Sanders as lead RB, so the people acting like Hurts would never go anywhere without Saquon/a strong rushing game are wrong.

I would take Hurts over Herbert and Love for sure, I think Herbert and Love have been in the NFL long enough to know what they are like and I think Hurts is definitely better. Stroud and all of the guys drafted last year it’s too soon to tell, Stroud has been strong in his first two seasons even if he regressed a bit last year and he could become a top tier QB, and I think there’s a chance all of the 6 guys drafted in the first round last year become strong QBs.

Book is still out on Love IMO... he has basically started only 1 1/2 seasons and the half season he was hobbled last year after injury in 1st game of the year vs Eagles. This year barring injury probably see who he truly is... last half of 2023 when his numbers were top 5 QB or mix of early 2023 or injury plagued/WR dropping (most drops in NFL) 2024.

I am still optimistic for Love at this point.

I think Love is pretty good but I doubt he’ll ever be as good as Hurts. He was banged up some last season. This season we’ll definitely get a better feel for just how good he is, the Packers have a pretty deep receiving unit and a good rushing attack, so if he stays healthy I think he’ll have a good season.

Hurts has the 5th and 12th highest paid WRs in the league on his team.

Eagles offense I saw in the Super Bowl was a grinder. Chiefs wanted to take away the run game, got destroyed over the top. Take away the pass and Hurts could just run for a first down with zero pressure coming at him. I have no idea how to evaluate Hurts in a vacuum.

Yes Hurts has two great receivers in Brown and Smith. There’s no denying the Eagles are loaded with talent - zero in on the rushing game like the Chiefs did and Hurts can pick you apart with the pass, but don’t focus enough on the run and the Eagles can overpower you with it. All I’m saying is that I think Hurts is a bit better than many give him credit for, I don’t think he is only good because of the talent around him, I think he’s a good QB period.

I think he is a good QB, too. I just dont think winning in the playoffs is everything when it comes to QBs....else Dan Marino is a scrub.

We've seen it time and time again that defense is more important than offense in the playoffs

I agree with you about how winning in the playoffs isn’t everything for a QB. Interesting comment that D is more important than O in the playoffs - I’m not sure about that, I think both are equally important.

Defense is more important when you get to playoffs.
Trenches for either side is most important.
QB a lot less.

This is why you see so many killer QBs drag their lesser team into playoffs, then get knocked out. ironically making the QB look worse in those of your eyes that rank QBs by playoff wins.

Look at the Cowboys.
They focus on Offense all the time. Can be a top 5 offense. Ignore Defense & gets curb stomped once they get in the playoffs.
Stafford. Kick ass QB when he was younger got nowhere in playoffs. Went to a good team won a Superbowl the 1st year.
QBs get to much credit & blame for a team sport. (unless your Peyton) He could drag a lesser team farther than any QB I know. If it wasnt for the Patriot Dynasty. He would have been the exception to the rule. I think he could have won a Superbowl with a lesser team.

Love is pretty good and is going is likely to continue to get better.

It is the rest of the Green Bay offense that is and will likely continue to be the problem. And maybe even stunt Love's development.

Easily one of the worst WR corp's in the league once again. Just to give an example: if their 1st round pick Golden is an instant star in the league, they still have the worst WR corp in the division.

This team is a Josh Jacobs injury away from being the worst offensive skill position group (not including the QB position) team in the league.

If he remains healthy this year, and that's a huge if, then that will be a solid inking for the Ravens.
Yeah this could be a nice addition for the Ravens, and he provides another solid corner besides Humphrey and Wiggins, gives the secondary a boost.

The Packers have no clear WR1 right now, although Golden could definitely become that, their receiving unit isn’t great by any means but it’s not terrible, and Doubs and Watson have been banged up a lot. I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s one of the worst in the NFL, yeah it’s the weakest in the NFC North but the other 3 teams in the North have very strong receiving units.

There's no questioning the talent of a healthy Alexander. The Ravens always seem to land really talented veterans. It's just a question of how healthy he stays for the season.

The Ravens are loaded with talent - I think they are clearly the most talented and complete team in the AFC on paper, and along with the Eagles are the most complete and talented team in the league.

You obviously don't watch a lot of Eagles games and calling Miles Sanders mediocre in 2022 shows lack of knowledge.

Sanders had his best year in 2022 but he is not a top level RB. The bottom line is is that Hurts had an MVP caliber season in 22 and almost won the Super Bowl without a top tier RB, so acting like Saquon is the only reason Hurts has been good isn’t correct. The Eagles are not my team but I’ve watched them plenty. You seem like a hater.

Sanders had a great statistical season for rushing yards and rushing average - hence the ProBowl nod. However other RBs also did well behind the Eagles great OL and Sanders had limitations, particularly as a receiver. The Eagles didn't retain him for 2023 and his 4 year $25.4M contract with the Panthers shows what the NFL thought of him.

2024 was indeed about Barkey, Oline and defense.
Champions are Champions but Jalen Hurts was pure game manage last year.
2903 passing yards in 15 games is 193.5 yards per game
361 passing attempts in 15 games is 24 attempts per game.

Game Manager, Trint Dilfer like.
