I think hurts is a good enough qb that can win with the most talented team in the nfl

Calm down. I'm not the poster emotionally invested and posting irrationally.

You're right I forgot about Cousins. He didn't come up in my quick search which was all the effort I was qoing to exIend on your team.

But that doesn't change anything. In an era when QB contracrs are sky rocketing other than Allen Watson STILL had the mosr guarantee of any contract signed and that was 3 years ago.

Now what was the question? Was it do I think at the time of the signing did the league think he was a franchise QB in his prime? Yes I do, and so did you and I. Not sure what that has to do with the debate which was about your team trying the hardest to sign a POS.
couldn't be more calm, my friend. I often find myself laughing at you if anything.

Why is matters in this debate is what I keep telling you......the guaranteed money is so overblown. ALL the teams who went after Watson did so on the belief he'd be the guy he was in Houston or maybe even better (he was only 26-27). IF he was the guy they hoped they would be glad to pay out that entire deal and then some if they had to. since deal made without benefit of hindsight and many tried to get him I have no issue my team was the one who made it happen.

As mentioned, wish the baseball team I cheer for had the same will to win.

You consider Purdy worth about $45M APY (based on guaranteed)? For Purdy...

Who had 1 GOOD year with a STACKED team and did nothing last year (going 6 wins against a division which was supposed to suck) and ending the season with arm injuries?

C'mon fightin... I'd pay like $291.92 a year for your posting rights on this forum but you're nowhere near worth $500 like @Caliskinsfan
I can see thinking it's a lot but the guy is a franchise level QB and fightin is right it's the going rate. Is he elite? No...but think he's better than you are giving him credit and not like they had another QB option.

Mac Jones would've saved them!

He’s unconventional and he doesn’t fit expectations others have for the position. When people look at the elite run game they’re quick to praise the OL and the RB. Few want to give credit to the impact Hurts has in the run game. Defensive fronts don’t cooperate and line up exactly where you want them on the white board. Hurts decision making presnap is a key element of the Eagles run game. Additionally, his presence means you don’t have to block an edge defender because that defender has to respect the possibility of Hurts keep off of run action. His feet also become a pick your poison situation in the pass game. If you take away his receivers down field he has the ability to tuck and get 7-8 yards to move sticks. He is the key to what makes the Eagles offense go. He’s also an exceptional leader who has won at every level. Some guys are just winners and Hurts is a winner albeit in an unconventional way. It’s no fluke that he’s outplayed Mahomes in three straight head to head contests.

The Eagles are 6-0 in those games. Hurts was not the deciding factor in many if not most.

Could start for 25-26 teams is a bit high IMO. I would top out at maybe 22, potentially less if a few more teams prefer that rookie contract starter.
