I heard from a number of Browns fans who were very very upset that it was their team who acquired a man like this. By your earlier post you may believe he may be completely innocent. That's certainly an opinion.

You didn't need hindsight to see the legal issues though. Even if he was playing well, would most Clevelanders still hate him?

There were some who were upset, sure....and hard not to feel a little icky. But a dozen or so teams were willing to go after the guy.

Completely innocent? I believe he was completely innocent of anything criminal. Hard not to think that when each so-called victim was free to leave the room if they wanted. We also know multiple women lied as we know some (many?) tried to contact him to see him again.

Is he a perve with a fetish of some sort and/or asked for a happy ending (not illegal to ask)? I have no doubt. Was he foolish to see so many different massage therapists? Also yep.

what legal issues? Was known he would face some sort of suspension and likely nothing criminal. Why once known not criminal pretty much every team needing a QB trying to win went after him.

To your question? I'd say no, if he was playing like he did in Houston the vast majority of fans would have been fine with him (assuming no more issues off field).

He is prolly part of the reason why they traded Pickens.....expecting him to step up as a #2 opposite Metcalf isn't a huge reach.

You’re wasting your breath. I’ve done this with him before. Some people are just programmed when this topic comes up in society to always blame the victim and back the accused. He leans heavily on the He Said/She Said nature of sexual assault and uses that as a weapon to explain away all instances of sexual assault. It’s disgusting. Unfortunately, it’s also very prevalent on sports message boards loaded with incels programmed to hate women.
