He wasn’t even NFL caliber last year in college IMO, he didn’t impress me very much. And yeah this seems like a crybaby bitch move to bolt from your team suddenly over some NIL money dispute.
His dad and posse convinced Nico that he should demand 4 mil in NIL and UT didn't blink.

Dude has all the physical traits but has a long way to in terms of the mental side.

If he wants to hold a team hostage, better off letting him go.

Hmm interesting.

Hard to understand what happened fully after reading things, but apparently it got to the point where he was accused of killing the man and recklessly driving. Dunno.

He only ran a 4.6, so I don't think he would've been a 1st... but he had some good physical metrics in terms of hands/arm length, etc. I'm sure he would've gone in day 3 at a minimum. Will be interesting to see the cause of death. Was it overdose? They said it wasn't clear, so it obviously wasn't something like a gunshot or hung himself, etc.

Yeah he was probably facing a prison sentence for the hit and run fatality, and probably had a lot of trauma from the incident. Very sad story all around.

New Orleans has to be on AR's radar.

Carr's shoulder injury leaves his availability for '25 in question.

Yah, that'd be my thought. But still, if you recklessly drive and kill someone (even if sober) usually you're in prison for 2-5 years - and if you show remorse and are sorry (and a first time offender) usually judges will let you out in 2 or less if good behavior in prison. DUI manslaughter is 3-7 years.

Either way that's probably game over in the NFL these days. He'd be 26 at a minimum by then and the NFL has gotten so risk adverse that I can't imagine anyone would take a flyer on him (if he'd run like a 4.35 or something and was a 1st rounder, I could see him as a free agent after prison). That's kind of sad if he KNOWINGLY took his own life because he figured football was the only way to make a living.

We all do stupid things, and yah you gotta pay for it. It's not like he was committing criminal activities or murder on purpose. Reckless driving manslaughter is a class 3 felony, it's not class 1 like premeditated murder. Yah you're gonna pay but your life doesn't have to be OVER.

Yeah it’s a sad situation. I for one don’t think I could handle a prison sentence of any amount of time so if I were facing prison suicide would enter my mind as well. But yeah it’s tragic how his life ended

Sad situation but he wasn't going to be selected in the 1st round.

Agreed. He had some good physical metrics (hand, arm, wingspan) though, I think he could've still gone in the draft, but not anywhere close to a 1st round after his senior year. But I think he would've found a home somewhere and maybe could've eventually gotten into a starting role down the road.

I could see the Jets taking Shedeur at 7 if he’s available. They are the probably the only team between picks 4 until 9 where the Saints pick that I could see taking him. But it’s definitely possible the Browns or Giants take him, if they don’t I wonder if the Saints might trade up just to ensure they get him. Will be interesting to see
The Jets probably going OL or DE with their pick....maybe they opt for TE Warren if he is available.

Or Dart who has really been climbing up boards. Sounds like the Giants and Browns may be passing on a WR with them securing Wilson/Winston and Flacco/Pickett, which I think is smart of both organizations.

That said, Jets or Saints (in light of Carr injury) may pull the trigger on Sanders/Dart, and I could definitely see the Jets snagging Warren (although to my knowledge Warren isn't a great blocker by any stretch, that said - he's willing to do it and be taught, that's half the battle). If that leaves Membou at 10 Seattle better fucking trade up, because if he ends up on the 9ers I'll be PISSED.

The Seahags will take a punter in the 1st and like it

Yeah i think teams that need QB's that pass early will need to trade up into at least the top half of the 1st to get Dart. I dont thijk he will be there for them in round 2

I think the same will happen.. I could see it very similar to the 2022 draft. Pickett went first but a lot of other guys slid.

I do believe teams are letting the hype happen and doing T30 visits to 1) see if someone does drop to the 3rd or later, but moreso 2) get teams to trade up.

I doubt many teams (outside of Tennessee) have QBs on their big board to draft in round 1.

It's a tricky deal. I think if you could get a guy like Dart between 12-16, that would be a far, far better value than Ward at 1 or Sanders top 5. Question for Cleveland and the Giants would be, to get into that range for the QB, will trading a high 2nd and 3rd be enough to jump 20 spots. If not, might it be a better strategy to trade down from top 5 to that range while adding a couple of premium picks. If i am a team like Cleveland or the Giants, I would at least explore what a team would be willing to give to trade up for a prospect like Carter or Hunter. Could you get their 1st, 2nd and 3rd or 1st, 2nd and next years 1st? I think for teams with that many holes, the extra picks might be the way to go

Yah... frankly I don't think Hunter is worth trading up for. I think he'll get beat up too much at WR, and a corner at #2? Meh. He's not playing both sides of the ball (100+ snaps a game) lol, anyone saying that is a complete joker IMO. But I'll eat crow if I'm wrong and he isn't on IR 24/7 in a few years.

I think Giants are the ultimate winners if they end up with Carter. Carter, Thibs, Lawrence, and Burns? Ooof, nasty pass rush.
