They don't need to trade up. He will fall into their laps
I could see the Jets taking Shedeur at 7 if he’s available. They are the probably the only team between picks 4 until 9 where the Saints pick that I could see taking him. But it’s definitely possible the Browns or Giants take him, if they don’t I wonder if the Saints might trade up just to ensure they get him. Will be interesting to see

I am perfectly fine not going QB in the 1st or 2nd. Not a fan of this class in general.

Wait till the 3rd or 4th and use a flyer on Howard or another guy.
I definitely would not draft Sanders 2nd. If I'm the Browns, I would take Howard at the top of the 2nd. I'm certainly no scout, because my opinion is that Howard is better than any of the QBs in this draft. I'm not a fan of OSU, but I watched their last 6 games,.came in thinking Howard wasn't worth a shit and was carried by the talent around him. He did have some easy throws because of that talent, but that kid also made some damn clutch throws, and was tough as Hell. I've watched Ward and Sanders a few times as well, and I see it a lot more for Ward, but he is no sure bet either IMO

If I'm an NFL team I wouldn't even waste my time scouting him let alone talking to him.
He wasn’t even NFL caliber last year in college IMO, he didn’t impress me very much. And yeah this seems like a crybaby bitch move to bolt from your team suddenly over some NIL money dispute.

Lot of people are saying Howard is the best ready QB. He may never be an amazing QB, but he's the best plug and play from day 1. His football IQ when talking to Gruden was off the charts.

I kind of find it amusing the Titans are taking Ward, lol... that's got bust written all over it. Why not take Carter and start building up a supporting cast. Seems like the Titans just stay in the usual position. Keep drafting sub par QBs and throwing them on a lackluster team. They could prob. take Howard in the early 2nd round and then a decent WR in the 3rd... and you got an NFL ready QB, the best pass rusher in the draft, and a solid WR. Eh whatever.

He was a red shirt freshman last year! And he played pretty well for that. He still has two to three years of college football in him.

He likely is going to be a 1st round pick 2 or 3 drafts from now and has a very good shot at being considered an elite prospect by the time he gets there. He has ELITE physical tools and size for the position.

He might be an NFL caliber player in a couple of years but I wasn’t all that impressed last year. And “elite tools” don’t always translate to good play - look at Anthony Richardson, I’ve heard for a long time how he has “elite tools” and stuff and he sucks. It will be interesting to see where his college career goes from here.

Quite right. Take a stud, don't take a QB just because you need one. He is top ranked this year, but most years Ward is mid to late 1st IMO

Yeah I’m not 100% sold on Ward or Sanders as franchise QBs, they could be but they could also not be. I guess the Titans just don’t think they can go with Will Levis for a full season.

Richardson couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn in college.

Nico completed 63% and he did it in an NFL type of system. Tennessee isn’t your gimmick style college offense that inflates completion percentages with a large amount of screens.

He’s got a lot of work to do obviously. But he should his name called pretty early. Very good arm, huge size and smart. 22Td to 5 INT ratio in the SEC without massive amount of talent around him with the exception of Sampson.

It’s another thing that could effect this years class. The coming years there are some damn exciting QB prospects about to enter the league.

Nico is definitely a better QB than Richardson but that isn’t saying much - it’s comical that Richardson went in the top 5. He very well may improve and be a first round pick but it’s not a sure thing and he wasn’t all that great last season.

I don’t know the details. You need to recalibrate though. This is the new normal and a business negotiation. That’s what the NFL is. Like I said, I don’t know the details. If he lied or acted in bad faith then that’s a different story. I guess I’m saying don’t hate the player, hate the game. If you have access to this kind of money because of your talent and ability you owe it to yourself to maximize the way you can monetize that.

Its not exactly known for translating 1 to 1 to the NFL, either.

I think its win/win for a top NFL prospect to be leaving Tennessee but Im pretty biased
