That's prob. a key reason he was traded. He prob. went to Seattle and said I want $45M a year, and Seattle said, "Yah no, we'll send you somewhere warm."

Well, the Raiders have the 4th and 9th overall in the 3rd round. Depends which, but it's an EARLY 3rd... yah, not a lot of folks are grading this favorably for the Raiders and are giving Seattle high grades. Especially if it's going to require some $45M/year signing. WTF?

Geno is not HORRIBLE and he's a tough guy, but the football IQ has never been there. For every good throw, it seems like there's a stupid mistake/blunder or missing a wide open player. He's also going to be 35. I'm not a Geno hater, I thought he had some good moments and with a better OL and playcaller (Grubb was horrible) was worth keeping, but not for $45M per and if someone is offering a 3rd. I thought the market would be asking for a 5th at best.

But Carroll loves Geno. At least Carroll still is a Seahawk at heart lol.

Crosby, Williams, Murphy.. man that would've been sick. Smart to offer it, but Crosby is easily worth a 1st rounder, and Geno is.. well valued at a 3rd by the Raiders, and most Seahawks fans are thinking a 2nd AT BEST for Metcalf. If Seattle packaged in their 2nd - MAYBE.

Yah that's where I have a bigger issue with the trade... is if the Raiders give him $45M per.

Geno has some good things and he's a decent bridge QB, but not for $45M per. That's fuckin' insane.

I'll be just as annoyed if Seattle goes and gives $45M to Darnold... but I don't think that's happening. I think Seattle fully intends to go with the draft and then fix the trenches. Kubiak is a run first/playaction kind of guy. You can get by with some lesser talent assuming you have a good defense (which Seattle should given their HC).

Uh I think you misread that Shane. I was fine with Geno being traded IF he was asking for $45M. If Geno said, "Hey I can do a 3 year $75M extension" I might sing a different tune.

Yeah it seems like Worthy is a victim of our “get it first” fucked up media priorities that runs with stories before they have all the facts vetted. From what I can piece together he caught the girlfriend in some infidelity and then kicked her out. She refused to leave over several days and then she went and made a false report of domestic violence.
