Yikes.

Harbaugh planning on a full rebuild and taking away Herbert's best WR's?
They don't have any money to spend. Williams is always injured. The one guy I thought they would keep is Keenan but we will see.

They are $21M over the cap and all 4 of those dudes make $30M+.

Confused James Franco GIF

I figured Mack and Williams were gone, surprised they're talking about all 4. Bosa is the only one under contract for 2025.

Cutting Mack saves $23M
Cutting Bosa saves $22M
Cutting Allen saves $23M
Cutting Williams saves $20M

Trying to aggressively reshape the roster I guess.

...which I'm guessing lowers his cap number in 2024
Might not, they are good on the cap currently. The Eagles are really ahead of the curve in locking up young guys early and getting some of the money out of the way and building long-term financial relationships with their star players that helps both sides.

I say ahead of the curve, but they've been doing it for 20 years and most teams haven't been smart enough to keep up.

So get rid of a few to create cap space and restructure some contracts.....but getting rid of all 4?

Depending on their plans for their cap space this season, they could decide to front load and preserve space in future seasons. I guess the last time I looked at their cap was before the bump was announced.

I'm sure they prefer to trade to get picks. However, trading Bosa doesn't net as much 2024 cap space as cutting him because of the extra year on his contract.

I don't think they get rid of all 4 and I would be shocked if they released Bosa.

What I think?
Release Williams. Easy one.
I could see Mack being released as well. Doubt someone is trading for that huge cap hit.
Bosa restructured and Allen restructured or traded.

Highest paid guard in NFL history.

This is the Eagles way. They find a guy who fits their culture and is a great player and they pay him early. They then use these stalwart lifers to be the focus of their restructures and kicking the cap can down the road in perpetuity. They have Mailota locked up now Dickerson. Now Hurts as well. These are big pieces they can use going forward to restructure and free up cap so they can take their chances on those one year guys at value.

Pretty sure Miami doesn't have the cap space to go after Wilkins.
Well yeah. They would have re-signed him if they had money. They are trying to lock up Tua with a clear budget
