I’m not saying that Cousins is a great pickup, but he’s the best option for the Falcons this year. Fields is a bust and a glorified RB, he won’t improve the Falcons offense at all. The Falcons need to be able to pass the ball, and Cousins has thrown for 4000 yards 7 times in his career, he’s not a top tier QB but he’s not a bust either, he’ll provide stable play at the position. The Falcons just need to stop their losing streak - we’ve had 6 straight years with a losing record - and I think getting Cousins will end that streak and give the Falcons a good shot at the playoffs. It’s not ideal but it’s the best option for the Falcons.

I don't think it's that deep, especially not for a day 1 starter at LT. It may be deep enough that such a LT candidate is available to them at their 1st round pick. Do they have an in-house option at LT?

When Carr was here most seasons he had a bottom 10 defense. This season, we had a garbage offense with Jimmy G and a rookie at QB while the defense was top 8 in ppg allowed. And 1st the last 9 games allowing just 16ppg.

His stride and height and hands will keep him good pretty long into his career.

Maybe the injuries get worse. He's usually on the injury list and missing Wednesdays as it is. But that could also help him over the long haul.

Not a lot of WRs are still elite past 32. Bucs played it smart IMO.

Its crazy how many Viking fans want to go back to the days of Christian Ponder or Tavaris Jackson and blame Cousins for the VIking's ills the last 4 years when our defense over that 4 year period has been near the bottom of the league while our offense has been the only reason we have won any games during that period.

The Raiders have made worse draft picks than anyone the last few years - Ferrell was a total bust, Damon Arnette was a huge bust, Ruggs went to prison, there are a couple of other stinkers as well in there. I think the poor drafting and the stupid decision to hire McDaniels after the debacle with Chucky getting fired has contributed to the Raiders being lousy.

Which team are we talking about? I was talking about Cousins' salary impact on the Vikes defense.

Raiders have made frequent poor personnel decisions (starting with Coach/GM). Hopefully they have that repaired to move forward now.

Go look at a list of top 10 defenses this last year and how many of them have top paid QB's and try to make this weak ass correlation again.
