I need to stick behind dad here. 50% of high round drafted QBs succeed. If one hits it is HUGE but if not ... well holy shit! Fashanu or Alt give a much higher chance of getting pick right.

I am torn, thank god for a new GM.

It’s time.

If the Skins don't address MLB in free agency with either Queen or White, Wilson and Trotter Jr. are my favorites.

Wilson's cone and 40 times at the combine will be huge for him.

Really. just don’t reach because of a perceived need. this pick needs to be a difference maker day 1. if He can’t step in and play at a high level his first year, pass.

Junkies this morning.

Option A
Fields for a 2nd or 3rd and draft Harrison Jr. or Fashanu

Option B
QB of your choice at 2.

Interesting!

Option A looks enticing especially if we get Fields for a 3rd round pick but then you have to give a long-term deal avg 40m+ per year to him. Plus, we keep our pick which can be traded down for more picks or pick Fashanu/Harrison. I think the Bears are going to keep Fields and Draft Harrison.

Option B we get a cheaper QB but that QB is an unknown and could be a major bust. Or you trade down for more picks.

You would have one more year of Fields cheap, but you are right. You'd be on the hook for a lot of money.

Rookie QB give you 5 years at little cost but no Harrsion Jr. and you're not sure what you are getting. That said, if Fields were in this draft, he's probably the 3rd or 4th QB taken.

true but if you take the chance on Fields, you get to keep your #2 pick which should be an LT. You kill 2 birds with one stone. QB and LT. We have the cap room, it could be the better safer option. Plus, that #2 pick is gold with teams wanting there QB in the draft. We could trade down and still get Alt. If we can get Fields for a 3rd round pick we have to consider it.

Consider it? Yes. Plan A? No

Can you win it all with Fields? That's the question. That's where I'm at with everything now that Dan is gone. My goals and expectations are higher.

Not sure with a rookie. Gotta draft him and find out. We pretty much know what Fields is. He has definitely made strides this year.

Fields and Harrison Jr. is definitely tempting. I just don't know if I trust Fields the passer. Im still leaning QB at 2.

Fields is the safer option. The rookie QB could have more upside and be way cheaper but could also bust. We have alot of holes to fill. If we can get a QB and keep the #2 pick that is huge. IF we do get Fields, we have to protect him with a LT at #2 or a trade down. Harrison is nice but who is going to protect Fields? I think you can win with Fields. Is he elite? No,

I agree with most of that. I just hate the narrative that is being pushed on this board that if we don't draft LT at 2 our QB will have no protection. We have 90m and two very high 2nd picks.
