As a Utes fan I did not love his game at all, but the guy that I trust the most on draft content said he is way undervalued and views him as a 1st round talent and some team will get a steal. He has him over Chop Robinson. Now I am all confused about him.I was really hoping Elliss was going to fall. The 3 players I was choosing from with Tampa Bay in rd2 were Melton, Elliss and Bo Nix (for lulz)
He is very polarizing online. I think he is a late 2nd/early 3rd kind of player so I'm probably closer to consensus but I get why people like him. Early production (lots of sacks at age 20) and he got quite a bit of respect from OL players from the two games I watched of his film. Chips and double teams. He is 3-4 only, imo, and still probably needs to put on about 10 lbs. Probably could say a lot of the same positives and negatives as Troy Franklin although underweight at WR might not mean much in todays NFLAs a Utes fan I did not love his game at all, but the guy that I trust the most on draft content said he is way undervalued and views him as a 1st round talent and some team will get a steal. My issue was his high sack numbers came on a very low amount of QB pressures. I don't see how the rate continues, I would love to be wrong. I can see that being somewhat unsustainable but he did have a high win rate and PFF grade on pass rush. He wasn't just cleaning up other players wins. They were his pressures either on the outside or I think he got a couple with spin moves. My issue was his high sack numbers came on a very low amount of QB pressures. Nope. No trade. I probably just jumped the gun. I saw a text from you, and assumed I was up. It’s 1 AM here in Japan and I’m a little delirious.
I like Elliss, but I think he’s more of a late 3rd/ early 4th guy - so his value in this thing is about what I’d expect.I can see that being somewhat unsustainable but he did have a high win rate and PFF grade on pass rush. I might be too high on him just because of his young age and 'football family' but there is some real upside there. Just not on a team like KC where he would need to be bigger.
You’re from SLC, right? I’m a transplant from the Midwest in Utah county. I like to see any of the local players (Utes, Cougars, Aggies, High Schoolers, etc) make it big and go on to play in the NFL.My issue was his high sack numbers came on a very low amount of QB pressures. Im just going to throw this out here but literally the only reason I didn't pick Austin Booker was because he was from Kansas. I am also high on Wright but had Booker been from a different school I wouldve picked himWas debating two LB's here. One a pass rusher, the other a run stuffer. Think the run stuffer was a slightly better value but the Cardinals pass rush was so bad last year. 1 sack in the final 6 games of the season and I didn't feel like the value was a significant difference.
So, the Steelers land a RT and C in the first two rounds, and still land a top 50-60 prospect at wideout in round three, and AND stick it to Cleveland in the process?Thank God I traded that pick. Would be two straight rounds sniped right before my pick
