Vancouver is a hot mess. Lots of Quinn Hughes rumors too. Without him and likely Boeser they are probably a bottom 5 team in the league.

They've let so many good players go already. I feel like they would be more likely to give Hughes $14mil/year than let him walk. They'll build their whole team around him.

Penguins reportedly will shop Karlsson this summer.

Still amazes me how this guy won Norris Trophies, he couldn't defend in a paper bag.

The amount of points hes gotten at times in his career is impressive...but that does not mean good defenseman. The dude has never played a shift in the last 5m of a game while ahead by 1. I doubt hes ever played a pk shift.

Now that the playoff fiasco has ended I dont know that I have ever been more disappointed with the Kings than I am now. Thats saying a lot being a fan since the 70's. I tend to never get my hopes up for fear of being let down. After the first two games and even game 3, I really thought they were going to move on to round two. I went as far as looking at other rounds and was thinking that they could actually make a run like in 12 and 14 They should have swept the Oil but instead got reversed swept instead. Just so let down.
Now, if we were to go back to the beginning of the year and told that we would have 105pts on a team that not many of us would have expected, would we have called it a success?
I dont think ownership will make any changes. They are going to look at the 105pts and feel like they all did their job well. I feel like we are stuck in medioctrity. Not good enough to make a run and too good for a descent draft pick or a rebuild.

To me (and the team I hope) the 105 pts means nothing, they absolutely needed to advance past the 1st round of the playoffs. That was the goal before the season started. Anything less than that is a huge disappointment.

Throughout the season I think our concensus was RS doesn't matter at all, it's what they do come April.

105 points or not, this season is a massive fail. I highly doubt we will see any changes though but new management needs to be brought in along with a new scouting and development department.

Jill absolutely needs to go. I thought he was fine until this PO, so bad...no words. Complete failure under pressure with no accountability for those actions or in actions and worse yet, still thinks it was the correct course of action. If he is still coach come next season, i will not be participating in the season....just cant do it. He has made me so mad and disappointed that it is not worth my time.

The problem is the Kings signed him - well Bowlby did - to a 3 year contract. You know how much AEG hates paying coaches to not coach their team so my belief is he won't be leaving. At the very least at least not for another year (more below).

The only hope is Blake is gone, a new GM comes in and he changes course on Jill and says no more of this nonsense, this is my vision for the team and this is how it needs to be done.

This is where the one year comes in, if Jill adapts great, if not show him the door and get your own coach in there. That way there's only one year left on Jill's deal which is more palatable than two.

Were it up to me I'd clean house today from Blake to his cronies to coaching. Coaches will be snapped up, I'd like to look at Tocchet if he wants to coach, he would kick the ever living shit out of this beach bum group.

Or maybe even Tortorella, short shelf life but this Kings team isn't green, they need a push and who better than him? May even make some more rounds instead of getting wiped out in late April every time.

Bottom line is they need a hard nosed coach at this stage who is experienced.

Most likely both will stay...but not me! Haha. Losing is sort of ok, playing to lose is something I cant live with.

Insane to click over to YouTube and see like a random Calgary Flames podcast seeing what we all see. Because they hate Edmonton maybe (debatable) more than we do and are letdown by this too. Hiller messed this up so bad with the 3rd period approaches in Games 3 & 4 (and Game 1 really). To not even see it is the insanity.

I was sort of ok with g1 trying what he did even tho we all knew it wouldnt work....but sometimes "it will work because its my way this time" kind of mentality. But it did not and then we got lucky with the flukey goal....except Jill saw it as a see my prevent works, which is mind blowing. I can except trying something and learning from it, I can except playing your game and losing....I can accept just sucking because you suck, unfortunately as you all get to read yet again, I cant accept this.

Yeah I mean up 2-0, it's fine. But after Game 3, they had blown leads in 2 out of 3 at that point. So heading into the 3rd period of Game 4, up 3-1 in the game, that was when it should've been apparent. Kings outshot something like 33-13 in 3rd period and OT.

Then how they came out in Game 5. Flat as could be. And his interviews after every game just indicating that not only did he have no answers, he didn't really see a problem. Which is the problem. If you go watch Daryll Suter on those Kings championship runs, he changes stuff a lot. Same with Quenneville in Chicago. If something clearly wasn't working, it was changed pretty abruptly. Hiller just sitting off to the side like "We don't get too high, and we don't get too low". Like actually, I realize you can show some fire and that's okay. You don't always have to be thr stoic one, especially when it isn't working.

And Ducks fans somehow chiming in that they've won a playoff series more recently than the Kings. There's a brag in there even though they haven't made the playoffs in like 6 years.

Seeing a million memes and vids on the Kings collapse. One already disappeared, but it's Jim Hiller as Austin Powers choosing to "stay" on 5 in a Blackjack hand, and equating that to his goalie challenge in Game 3
