They may be more of a joke than the Giants franchise at this point.

I don't know man, not sure which is worse.

Since the Giants last SB win in 2012 (13 seasons) Dallas has made the POs 6 times but can't win big games. NY has made the POs one time (2022) and can't win any games, big or small.

I'd say they're both jokes but for different reasons.

I don't buy it because of his age and term left on the deal but this states the Kings have been linked to Marchessault.

He essentially would be an Arvidsson replacement, smallish RH shooter. Good player but the contract is scary whether the cap goes up or not. Crazy how almost all of Nashville's spending spree last summer has blown up in their face.

More fodder, rumor is supposedly it would be Spence and a 2026 2nd.

Don't like that at all, Spence is better than Clarke IMO but Clarke is the wrongly prized Kings player much like Buster - both guys all flash and no cash, they should be called The Credit Cards interchangeably or one Visa and the other Mastercard.

Spence is rounding out into a good T3-6 defender and I think if he were to be moved it shouldn't be for Marchessault. For Tuch, absolutely if they are insistent on keeping Clarke.

Spence > masterClarke by a lot. Somethings gonna happen pretty soon, im guessing nothing we like followed by extending Gavrikov with 8 x 8 or some shit

HAHA. I do understand. I was a Rams fan up until they took off for St Louis. Thats when I started playing fantasy football to fill the void. In fantasy you start to pull for players moreso than teams. Then I met my wife and she is a Dallas fan (whom I hated for years because the Rams couldnt beat them). Now I am a Dallas fan (happy wife, happy life) and they suck. Dak is a joke of a QB and Jerry Jones needs to either sell or relinquish the reins and let a real GM come in and run the team. They may be more of a joke than the Giants franchise at this point.

Quick Giants update, PFF has initial predictions for all 32 teams up and the Giants came in dead last with less than a 50% chance of winning ANY game next season.

Of course this is preliminary, the draft, free agency, any trades, cutting guys, what other teams on their schedule do, etc but that is bad. As if 3-14 wasn't bad enough and the worst record in franchise history 0-17 would epic.

I didn't think it could geyt any worse but it just may.

MasterClarke, like is he a Jedi? Uses The Force to alter games instantaneously? I bet Yoda is trembling.

The Kings' three biggest needs heading towards the TDL, nothing we didn't know already. I'm glad someone finally publicly said what they said about Lewis:

And that's photo of Fat Blake on the phone scares the hell out of me right off the bat, god knows who's on the other end and how much of a "steal" Blake thinks he's getting.

Looks like we were right, league sources saying Kings looking at Tuch.

Would probably be the best trade Bowlby has made in his now 8th season as GM.

OUCH. talk about nothing to look forward to. For your sake, I hope they do something to make the team better to make them watchable.

Aside from JJ being in charge, I think as long as Dallas has Dak at QB they will be stuck where they are. Their defense was descent but if the offense cant sustain a drive more than a few plays, the D just get tired.

I would just like to see LA matchup with another team in the playoffs and see how good/bad this team really is. I was so over this team early in the year, and I still feel hard to get excited about the team as they're currently built, but they've won some games and had flashes of excitement at times. Also wanted to give Jim Hiller some credit and see if maybe he could be the guy.

I still don't know what this team is. The PLD move made it seem like they'd make a run at the cup, and they gave up a ton to make that happen. Blake basically singlehandedly pulled Winnipeg from their sunken place. They were going to move on from Hellebuyck and maybe Scheifele, but then re-upped both and made the PLD trade. All of a sudden they're in talks as a favorite. I personally wouldn't go that far, but definitely a heck of a team with some real solid depth thanks to Blake. The PLD move was supposed to solidify Kopitar's replacement at center with he and Byfield for the next decade and all that. The irony of LA drafting center after center after center almost without fail, and to still not be solidified down the middle is crazy, Like in life how the harder you want something, the more it seems to drift further from your grasp. But McLellan sucks so bad, and Blake sucks for choosing him, paying him the highest salary in the league, and sticking with him through the whole process. Even extending him for no reason in the offseason when he didn't have to. It's real madness that Blake is still in charge. Complete failure to develop one of the top prospect pools in the league. Petersen contract and fallout. Losing Walker and Roy for nothing. PLD trade. Quick shipped to Columbus and I guess it's all one giant goalie bandaid ever since the 1-3-1 system was implemented. Copley, Rittich, Talbot, Kuemper. We were so spoiled with our goaltending for so long.

For the immediate, I for sure try to extend Gavrikov and I try to move Trevor Moore. In there I consider possibly moving Brandt Clarke for a guy like Tuch. That could maybe even be a 1 for 1 or close to it, given the ages and hype. I think that sets up LA decently, and if they don't play Edmonton, who knows? Aside from that, I honestly accept calls on pretty much everyone except maybe Kempe (And personally I'd like to keep Turcotte to see how he pans out. Especially because he's on basically league minimum for two more years). Save the other big moves for the summer, but depending on what happens the rest of this season, I think if you don't get out of Round 1, you blow this thing up for real. See about moving Doughty to somewhere like Toronto. Maybe Kopitar retires a King, but maybe he wants to make a run with a Colorado or a team missing a major piece. Probably controversial, but Fiala never seems to get out of his own head, despite his insane talent. Either rushes things, or doesn't have the urgency he needs. Definitely feels like he's missing "it" when it comes to the playoffs. I would not give him away, but if there is real value out there, I even consider something like that.

Like this scenario. If Toronto isn't going to resign Mitch Marner, so you can trade for him by giving them Doughty, Byfield, and maybe another piece. Do you do that before this trade deadline? Only thing is Marner is also pretty much not built for the playoffs. But Kings get improvement on the PP they never seem to fix, and they would theoretically fill out their top two lines a little better. For the hole on defense, they've pretty much been making it work all year, so it is what it is. What if Toronto wanted Fiala and Doughty straight up for Marner?

Anyway, there's my rant. I don't even know what would work or not work. Just feels like San Jose, Anaheim, Utah etc. aren't going to just keep stockpiling young talent for years and years and years without them turning a corner here real soon. LA needs to consider if they are closer to Edmonton/Vegas/Colorado or closer to those other teams.

From the games I watched, the defense is what kept them in games. Then the offense would come out, three and outs, failed fourth down conversions, the interceptions, whatever forcing the defense back out quickly.

That absolutely tires a team out when they're playing most of the game.

On topic of Tuch and what he might cost. It is insane to me that Buffalo's glaring need is a defenseman. They literally have two 1st overall picks in Owen Power and Rasmus Dahlin, and another dude who went 4th, just ahead of Turcotte, in Bowen Byrem. I don't know who else they have, I'm but I'd guess they're also high draft capital dudes. What a nightmare franchise. Makes Blake look like a genius.
