The Lakers shouldn’t be thinking long term with D’Lo.

He has only been in the post season 3 times.

But, I don’t think this is the exception.

I think it’s the rule.

He can be awesome as the 1st or 2nd option.

He showed that in Brooklyn and a bit with the Dubs.

But, he couldn’t be that in Minny and never would be with the Lakers.

As a 3rd or 4th option, this is who he is.

If his shot isn’t falling, he’s pretty useless.

To clarify, by long term I don’t mean beyond this season.

I mean beyond tonight’s game.

Lakers need quality minutes from Russell to come back in this series and to win a title.

He isn’t some end of rotation guy they can just bench and expect to get his scoring elsewhere.

They need to find a way to get him going.
