basically- an AI or some other kind of startup of some kind would scrap Twitter data that they would use for their own apps--- take up tons of the twitter servers, and get a multi-million valuation--- while screwing twitter over.
Yeah, that's a load of garbage excuse he's using. He's desperately trying to drive people to sign up for an account so Twitter themselves can get the user's data (how all these sites make money which is fine, part of the deal). But Twitter has completely stagnated since he bought it. On top of driving away tons of advertisers, they aren't attracting new accounts and current accounts are engaging less and less. This is just a desperate move to boost the numbers in the short term but has no long term value and will likely backfire spectacularly
