Looks like we sent out a draft pick to bring back a kicker we cut in the first place and was about to be cut again.

He and Badgely are the same guy basically. We should not have cut Patterson last year. We would have made the playoffs if Seibert was cut instead.

Alim Mcneil apparently is down 13% body fat, but playing at the same weight. Would be awesome if he hit his full potential. Alleviate some of the passrush concerns on the team, while maintaining his run stuffing.

Teams that drafted DTs will cut some vets that are still very serviceable.

Wait till you see what Broderic Martin brings to the table. The only criticism I could find on the guy was that he's raw. That's it.

That shows he could potentially be a pass rusher in a few years. Similar to what we said about McNeil. For this year we are reliant on Alims progress

Lions trade a 2025 conditional 6th round pick for 2025 7th and Denzel Mims.

Lions need as many random dart throws as they can get, I am good with taking a shot on getting the potential out of Mims

The draft pick position change is conditional; Mims still has to make the team. Minimal risk for getting a camp body who may be better when catching balls in a competent offense. Change of scenery may do wonders.

VERY GOOD UPDATE: Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that there is optimism Gardner-Johnson avoided a major injury. In fact, his source went as far as saying, “He’s fine.”
