Just saw the Dolphins are signing Raheem Mostert from the 49ers. With Mike McDaniel the new head coach this move makes a lot of sense. Look for him to split time with Edmonds and Gaskin. Do any of you guys think Gaskin could be traded now that Mostert is in the fold?

I'm not sure Gaskin will make a 53-man roster at $2.54M. I really liked Edmonds as a potential FA target for the Rams for 2022 and Mostert was a great rushing threat when he was healthy. I think the Dolphins have overpaid for both players but when healthy they'll be a great 1-2 combination, with or without the FB. I don't see Gaskin getting many snaps unless injuries rear their ugly head. Gaskin will have more value in August than he does now.

That is a lot for a long snapper.

Ryan in Indy is Philip Rivers all over again. Then again, if there was one team that could absorb the Ryan money - and would want to do so - then Indy is probably the only team.

Did you throw up a little bit at the idea of Jimmy G in Cleveland?
I dont think you are thinking things through.
Why would Indy have to absorb the money? (if true)
If the falcons gain Watson they wont/cant have both on the team.
So the Colts could wait until Ryan is a FA. Why trade for him?

Saints restructured the contracts of QB Taysom Hill, CB Bradley Rody, LB DeMario Davis, and S Malcolm Jenkins.

The Saints now have $29.9 million in available cap space. Having emerged as a leading contender to land Deshaun Watson, the Saints are doing what they have to do to actually be able to fit the quarterback on their books. They still have work to do, as Watson carries a $40 million cap hit in 2022. We'll likely hear of more contract restructures soon, provided Watson isn't traded to another team first

They had to restructure Taysom Hill’s contract? Color me shocked…

Not a good way to manage the cap. Restructure $100M in contracts every year. Dead cap is bad in future years and it isn't going away anytime soon bc they will have to keep doing this for years to come.

Josh McDaniels has said before he wouldn't mind coaching Baker
I would take Carr over Watson at this point, not saying he is better but with the baggage Watson brings. Carr is still 31...I could get on board with that but slim chance imo

WHEN HEALTHY needs to be in flashing lights when talking about Mostert. Any team with him on the roster needs quality depth behind him for sure.

The point is that Carr is a much better QB than Baker. Why would the Raiders bring in Baker?
Yah it doesn't make sense. Funny thing is the Browns could still bring back Baker, slim chance but possible LOL
